IFriends.com is pretty much the website that started the cam craze. The odds are good that you've heard of it before. They claim to have over 7.7 million members. Geez! This is one huge site. Starting this review, I know I won't be able to cover every detail of the site, nor would you want me to. There are so many little goodies here and there that it would take me days to discuss all of them. Likewise, I'm keeping my review to the adult portion of IFriends. I know you're wondering "There's a non-adult section?". Yes, there is. However, it's probably safe to say this is only there for show. This is by and large an adult site. In case you've never heard of IFriends before, it is basically a community of women with webcams and the men who want to see them. Chicks from all over the world broadcast live shows on their webcams and viewers pay a per minute fee to watch and chat with them. That is really only the beginning of this monster site, though.
The first thing you must do when you get to IFriends is register. It's free, though you do have to enter your credit card number for age verification. You're pretty much not going to see anything unless you do the free registration. Ok, now that you're registered, you probably want to know what you can get for free. The good news is you can get a lot here without paying a dime. The bad news is you have to navigate the mess to find it. The navigation here is not the best. It feels like they just keep adding more and more new features to the site and as they do it just gets more and more cluttered. Design is not the strong point here. Anyhow, back to the free stuff. The best place to start is Live Browse. From there you can view the many categories of cam hosts. You'll find Women Home Alone, Lesbians, Guy-Girl, Fetish, etc. You can also see how many hosts are currently broadcasting. As I'm writing this there are currently 2,500 live cams broadcasting, and this is just at noon on a workday. On nights and weekends you can expect upwards of 4,500 hosts. What this means for you is that odds are, somewhere in this huge group, is some hot chick just waiting for you. The thing that separates IFriends from every other cam site is the number of participants. No matter what type of girl (or guy) you prefer, no matter what type of fetish, lingerie or toys tickle your fancy, there is someone on here that fits your criteria.
After you've choosen your category, say Women Home Alone since that is always the one with the most hosts in it, you're asked to narrow it down by physical features. So you wanna see some blondes. You're taken to a page that has miniscule preview shots of the women, along with a brief description of what they like (usually along the lines of "I AM THE 1 4 U!!! Cum see my NEW new CAM! FREE FREE!" It's all very helpful.). If you're browsing for free stuff you have a few options. First, if you're lucky, you'll find someone doing a free videochat. Usually they won't do much but this is pretty much your only opportunity to see free live video. If you feel like chatting, then you'll want to enter the woman's guest chatroom. Here you can chat with the model and the other gentlemen in the room. Usually the guys are asking her questions and she spends her time trying to "seduce" the guys into buying a show. If you feel like just browsing for some free pics and vids, you'll want to click on her Archives. Here you'll find free camshots and brief recorded videos. The quality is pretty typical of what you'd expect from a cam; nothing great but it gets the job done. With so many women on and most of them with free Archives, you could browse this site for hours and not pay a cent!
If you're in the mood to spend, though, they've got you covered. The easiest way to drop your cash is to go into a chat room with the woman of your choice and click "Begin Video Chat." You'll be able to chat with the woman and see her live broadcast. You're warned ahead of time that there is a charge for this. The charge varies by model but the minimum is $1.99 per minute. Most charge around $2.99, though the more popular ladies can charge $6.99 per minute and up. Once you're in the videochat you can pretty much have your fun. Most of the women are good with "customer service" and will politely oblige your every whim. You ask them to show you their nips up close, they'll do it. It's smart to get a feel ahead of time for what the woman is like and what she is willing to do. Obviously, some women will do things others will not. One may have no qualms anally pleasuring herself, another may only perform a soft strip tease in her shows. It is very smart to find this out BEFORE you start paying by the minute. If SuzyQ won't do it, someone else on IFriends will, so just keep looking. That said, try to be polite to these women. Just because they're on cam doesn't mean they're not people deserving of respect. Anyhow, some women offer extras like audio or phone. Some offer CamPilot that lets you control their camera and zoom it or tilt it as you see fit. Some offer an option for LiveStream. LiveStream is a broadcasting platform that requires both host and guest to have a high speed connection and fast computer and broadcasts via Windows Media or RealPlayer, rather than the embedded java that they normally broadcast in. Quality is about average. The LiveStream helps a lot and I'd recommend checking out a few women broadcasting in that as well as checking out the regular broadcasts. Keep in mind that the video is broadcast directly from her computer to yours so the speed and quality will depend largely on both of your connections, not on IFriends. If live isn't your thing many women also have Replays that you can view. These are pre-recorded shows offered at a discounted rate ($.60 to $1 per minute). These might be worth checking out if you're on a budget since quality is the same.
For those planning on sticking around IFriends for a while, you might want to check out their ClubVIP. ClubVIP is a $6.95 monthly recurring membership to special features at IFriends. Some of the benefits are faster video streams, two-way broadcasting, complete cam archives, favorites list, discounts on shows and merchandise and additional customer service. Also, you get the ability to "Go Private." Usually when you buy a show other people can wander in and out of the chat. They can also see the video if they decide to pay, too. If you "Go Private," you have the chatroom all to yourself and no one else can watch the video. This is actually a pretty cool feature. The other benefits don't wow me terribly, but it's only seven bucks a month so it's cheap enough to give it a try and see if it's right for you.
So, that completes my Intro to IFriends 101. I definitely didn't cover everything but I think you get the main point of the site. To recap, 1000's of girls broadcasting live average quality shows. Whether or not this site is a good value will vary by user. I know of men who come to this site and spend hundreds of dollars very quickly. I'm sure others can get away with just the free membership and be happy as a clam (no pun intended). I think that this is one of the best features of IFriends. How much you want to spend and what you want to see is completely up to you. That said, there is no reason not check out the site and do the free registration. See some free pics, chat with some hot college chicks and if you're so inclined, get a show. It's all up to you.

Can you believe that this site has gotten even bigger since our last visit?! As I'm writing this there are 3,797 hosts currently broadcasting (up from 2,500 during my initial review) and 8.4 million members (up from 7.7 million). I don't think there is any other adult site that can claim numbers like that. Of course, with a site this size changes move slow and it doesn't look like much has changed here at all. Some of the ladies are beginning to offer high definition video, however, so things are definitely still being upgraded here.
We've looked at a lot of other webcam sites in the past year and none come close to offering what IFriends has. Obviously the number of performers cannot be touched. The prices are much cheaper than other sites. The video quality is on par with if not better than what can be found on other sites and with so many additional video options there is no comparison. Really, if you're after live camshows let me save you a lot of time and money. IFriends is still the ultimate cam site.

It's been three years since our last look at iFriends and it remains a must-see site for livecam fans. The first thing I noticed during this visit was their HD Star Spotlight, which showcases models who offer high definition video clips. I haven't come across another livecam site that offers hd video like this. It's a really impressive addition that shows that iFriends is truly working to keep up with the latest in technology. Access to the hd video varies with the different membership options. I don't think much on the structure of the site has actually changed, but overall it's still good to see that they're upgrading and moving forward.

It's been five years since our first official review of iFriends and it's great to see that they've finally done a re-design. It still feels very much like the iFriends at our last visit, but with a slicker-looking interface, updated graphics, and apparently more than 4,100 updated features. Getting around is still somewhat intimidating, but that's simply because they offer so many tools for users. Members can now set up a personalized homepage on iFriends and jump straight to the ladies and options they enjoy most. You can even earn points on the site for letting them know even more ways they can improve. It definitely appears that iFriends is doing their best to keep their position as the leader in webcam sites.
