I see HugeMPEGs.com and right away I think "great, this is a MPEG only video site" (I prefer to have options), and in fact it is. Over 1,400+ video scenes featuring some great suck & fuck content. The design in the member's area was a little surprising, too. I think in general I've learned to expect more from a video site. I will admit though, this is a large collection with no extra fluff, just what you came to see, hours and hours of MPEG videos featuring some well-known studios and pornstars.
The Good:
- Lots and lots of video content here and new video scenes are being added daily. Based on my (loose) calculations, 1,400+ video scenes translate into about 350+ DVD titles. They don't list the content by studio or pornstar really, but you'll find some recognizable names like: Taylor Rain, Adrianna Sage, Silvia Saint, Sunrise Adams, Tara Patrick and Brianna Banks.
- Full-length scene downloads are offered as well as smaller 2 minute clips (5-10+), making each full scene roughly 10-20+ minutes in length.
- New scenes are being added daily.
The Bad:
- Can you guess? Videos are MPEG only without any other option for download! I was disappointed by the quality here, too. While it's not bad, it's certainly not anything to get excited about - they definitely are not full-screen worthy videos.
- Design and navigation could use a lot of work. There isn't even any scene information. All of the scene updates are simply listed on pages (41+) and your only other options are for a select few categories & pornstars they've decided to archive. You can search the site (thank God!), but the return results don’t give you much to get started with. Just a text listing with short descriptions, which stars in it and sometimes the name of the studio.
- Quality is only average at best.
The Conclusion:
Compared to other video sites, Huge MPEG's simply can't compete. In a sense I'm afraid they'd have to change their whole business model in order to. At the very least they could start with better organization of the DVD scenes (list/search by DVD, Studio, Pornstar, Categories, etc.), offer more information about the scenes, and most importantly, higher quality streams in different media formats. MPEG's are great, but I like to have options and overall the quality here just doesn't live up to my expectations for a video only site.

It's been close to 2 years since our initial review of Huge Mpegs, and while I was on the fence about it before, I'm hopeful that I'm going to like it more this time. For starters, the total number of videos has shot up to 2,250+ - now that's just a lot of content. Reading back it's clear I wasn't a fan of the site design or navigation, and while that remains unchanged, I'm questioning why I never mentioned download options. So let's do that now…basically each video is broken down into scenes, but only the full-length file is offered in 3 file/quality formats. The highest quality is WMV stream/download with bitrates up to 2000k - they look quite nice! However, the individual scene clips have no options and the quality is just whatever. Price remains at about $25 per month, but for that kind-of money I'd really like to see a more advanced site design at the very least. So, do I like Huge Mpegs better than I did last time? Maybe a little, but not enough to give it singing praises.
