Most times on video sites one of the first things I go looking for is the format and downloading options. There's no need to do that here as it's right in the title - Huge Mpegs. Ironically I did run into a WMV movie although the webmaster noted it and explained that he could only obtain that format for that particular scene. Perhaps there are more sprinkled through the site but it's no big deal as MPEG is definitely the dominant format and WMV works just as well for most people anyways so the occasional clip in that format if fine. I just found it kind of funny that one of the first vids I went to on a site called Huge Mpegs was in another format.
The Goods:
- Large Collection of High Quality Vids. Clearly this is what Huge Mpegs is all about. They're a no-frills site that's selling a vast database of hardcore downloadable movie scenes with stuff that covers popular stuff like boy/girl, girl/girl, groups, asians, interracial/black, cumshots, etc. Other than I guess squirting they don't go into fetish or bdsm stuff, it's more general hardcore action. FYI, the number of movies here refers to "scenes" not full DVD titles. Still, it's a very big collection.
- Clips & Full-Movie Files. For a site like this in a single format it's key for them to have both of these. The clips are around 2 minutes lone each so the number varies per movie and some can have a whole lot of clips.
- A Section of 70's & 80's Movies. Not many video download sites have a section specifically for 70's and 80's porn so I thought it was interesting that these guys do. Their collection of movies includes this older more cheesy stuff to very current gonzo style action.
The Bads:
- Basic Design With Lots of Scrolling. With such a big number of movie scenes a new design is in order. The navigation is left to simple drop down menu boxes that have stuff organized by date, niche, or star (only a handful of stars are listed, they need to build this up).
- Needs Further Niche Breakdown. This is the one are where I'd like to see better categorization. They only have a dozen niches which is way too small a number to successfully organize this many videos.
- Non-Exclusive/Recognizable Scenes. This is the nature of just about all movie download sites. Here I ran into many, many scenes that I have seen on other sites along with stuff that seemed out of date (I gave them credit for the 70's & 80's vids but this is still a fair criticism).
Conclusion:
The update pace here is one movie per day with the occasional day where two will get added. That's steady and pretty much on par with what I expect from these movie sites. Although the guest tour is only a small sampling of the videos the tour does provide guests with a good snapshot of what type of vids are available for members. One final note is that they have a non-recurring membership option that's the same price as recurring. That's not something you see everyday so it may be something to take advantage of.

Huge Mpegs continues to be about the same site it was at the time of our initial review. The do seem to continually add new video scenes and the total number is into the thousands. Newer movies have higher quality files available and the options continue to include full-scene files and clip segments. On the negative side there is a daily download limit in place which is something to be aware of. One other thing they don’t do is provide movie/performer details which would be helpful since these are scenes from full length DVDs. The navigation options are also underdeveloped for the amount of material offered. All told Huge Mpegs is best described as a sizable no-frills video download site. The pricing continues to feature non-recurring billing for those who forego the trial and go with the monthly membership from the get-go.
Score remains at 80.0.
