House of Taboo is from DDF Productions who specialize in high-res content with sexy pro starlets. The company's other sites are more geared more toward a general hardcore/softcore audience while House of Taboo is their fetish outlet. Basically they take their high quality content principles and put them to use in Spanking, Bondage, Doctor, Latex, and Watersport shoots.
The Goods:
- High-Res Pics/Vids, Nice Options. As I mentioned in the opening DDF is one of the leaders in terms of high resolution content. The pictures are large and crystal clear with the option of additional medium and small pics additional options. All galleries are available in zip files as well. The new videos are amazing top notch quality with WMV, DIVX, QT and Flash formats for full-files. MPEGs are offered for clips.
- Original Fetish Shoots, Sexy Models. The performers are sexy with a lot of European performers featured. The site has and equal number of pictures and videos because the content is organized by shoot. Each includes a gallery and accompanying video. With both being good quality neither the galleries nor videos take precedence over the other, each is worth checking out.
- Good Categorization w/ Model Index. The site setup is pretty straightforward but functional. The member's home page has links to the different categories of content: spanking, bondage, doctors, latex, and watersports. There is pretty good balance in terms of the amount of content in each section. The other option for navigation as an alphabetical model index which works well too.
The Bads:
- Average Quality Older Vids. There is a drop-off in video quality when head back into the older shoots. Those are offered in WMV full-files and WMV, AVI, and QT clips. So there's not as many options and the quality is noticeably more average. The photo quality is strong throughout the archives but the fact that the high-res vids aren't available across the board is something to be aware of.
- No Update Log or Specifics. This is unusual for DDF Productions. Their other sites seem to feature updates very prominently and it's generally a strength. On House of Taboo that's not the case as the shoots are not dated nor is there a dedicated update log. Based on my experience with DDF and the TBP site facts I'm sure they add stuff steadily but the lack of details did jump out at me.
Conclusion:
House of Taboo is a fetish site where the positives clearly outweigh the negatives. The foundation of hot sexy magazine style models and high-resolution content makes for a solid foundation. The site covers five of the most popular bdsm/fetish sub-niches while incorporating a lot of different models and mixing up the action nicely. Most fetish fans will probably want to check out what they have to offer. The guest tour has both pic samples and vid trailers that provide a taste of their shoot style.
