High Def Movie Pass is a video site that is obviously focused on promoting their video quality. The site title makes that clear as do the guest tour movie samples. Membership here includes access to High Def Movie Pass plus some additional bonus sites of different niches.
The Goods:
- Some Ultra High-Res Hardcore Videos. This is focus of the site. There are a number of Super High-Def videos that are awesome quality. The resolutions are in the 5000k range which is top notch. The member's section has two categories: Super HD Archives and HD Archives. The Super HD are these high-res files.
- Full-Movie Files & Clips. The video options are pretty good in that there are full-movie files plus clips available for downloading. WMV is the base format and the clips actually initial stream in-browser and from there it's possible to download them. The full-movie files have separate links for in-browser and downloading which makes that easier.
- Mix of Hardcore, Solo, Threesomes. The collection of movies isn't all that large though as I was sifting through them I saw one-on-one guy/girl, girl/girl, solo toy play, and threesomes. So there is some variety though the site. The performers are hot looking pro performers.
The Bads:
- Majority of Vids are Not High-Res. This is definitely the biggest key to understanding High Def Movie Pass. Since the whole premise of the site is the High Def movies it's important to note that the majority of the movies are standard definition (these are the vids under their "HD Archives" title).
- HD Vids Repeated on Bonus Sites. This relates to the previous bullet point. The bonus sites included with membership have separate standard definition niche movies but the Super HD Movies are repeated across the different sites. This is a big negative that really hurts the value of the "High Def" concept of this site and the others.
- No Update or File Size Info Provided. There is absolutely no update information provided. There isn't any sort of log nor are there dates on the individual move pages. They also don't post file sizes for the videos which is something that would come in handy for these full-files and clips.
- High Price, Lots of Upsells. The monthly price here is $39.95/mo which is on the high end of paysites. The member's area also has banner ads throughout.
Conclusion:
High Def Movie Pass is one of those sites that technically meets their stated High Def niche. They have some ultra high resolution movies for download. The shortcuts hurt though and take away from the value. They really should have the majority movies in the Super HD format and not repeat these movies on the other bonus sites.
