I'm a big fan of new technology, so of course when high definition video was rolling around years back, I was quite interested. It took a little while longer for the internet to grab ahold of it, but now there are some decent HD sites out there. Today we're looking at High Def Moms, which is of course a MILF-type site featuring videos shot in high definition. Unfortunately I don't know if this particular site is the best example, as only a small portion of their site is actually HDTV. Either way, it's a decent start, and hopefully someday soon, most all porn will be in HD. Membership to High Def Moms is a whopping $40 a month!
The goods:
- High-definition scenes look awesome. Just taking the videos up the level required by high-definition video (minimum 1280x720, plus generally at least 2-3mbps bitrate) makes all videos really pop to me. Add in some decent lighting, and of course naked women taking cocks, and you can't really go wrong.
- Not a tiny site. With about 65 videos up currently, it's not a small site at least. For the price, I was hoping for more, and I was definitely hoping more of them were HD, but it could be worse.
The bads:
- Only 17 videos are HD. That's better than last time I was here, but still not a lot in terms of the big picture. Less than 1/3 of the videos are actually in high definition, and the SD material is almost secondary to me.
- Not sure when they update. Clearly stuff does get added here, I just have no idea how often that happens. With a smaller site overall, and no dates, it makes me wonder a bit for now.
- Quite expensive. $40 is just a lot to spend on porn site, when there are some fantastic ones out there for half that. Add in just a so-so size and unclear updates, and it doesn't sit well with me.
Conclusion:
What they have here is good enough for a start, but I hope they can step it up long term to earn the high price tag they put on the site. The HD videos are great, and definitely the reason to join the site. However, there aren't a ton of them, and I'm not sure how often new ones are put up. When you pay $40 a month, you should really demand a lot out of a site, and I don't think they deliver on that quite yet.
