HentaiKey.com is the "premier Hentai Network" or AVS, rather, with more than 495+ sites and 130+ licensed Hentai DVD's online. Who knew there was such a large Network of Hentai sites online? $29.95 per month gives you access to all 495+ independent sites as well as other toon feeds and more. Overall there is a total of over 4,000+ GB of content here. Some sites can have as many as 100+ videos or as few as 4+ but between them all you should expect (multiple) daily updates and plenty of variety including toons, anime, Hentai, mango, 3D, and more. While the overal quality of content was surprisingly good here it's clear that quantity is still the key with this one.
While the design of the member's area is as clean and professional as the tour, I still didn't get away without having a few troubles. Things tend to get confusing here and at one point I couldn't get the Home link to take me back to the main member's area. Or maybe I was just too lost to figure it out? In any case, it might take a few of you some time before you get this one figured out. I bet you Hentai freaks are especially smart, however. The content is separated under Original or Licensed with categories for the images, comics and movies listed separately. You can also view the top rated content or search through site categories: Hentai (110+), Anime (25+), Movie (26+), Games (8+), Manga (84+), Toons (156+), Artist (40+), 3D (52+), and Yaoi (0, not sure what this one is but there were no sites listed here anyway). The sites are then listed (in no particular order that I can tell) along with a short description and rating (if it has one). There's no consistency to the site design here and mostly what you'll find are sites that separate the movies from the galleries/comics and offer text links and/or preview image links to get around. Some sites I checked out are set-up better than others but for the most part I think it's fair to say that it's going to be touch and go from here on out and probably so for the rest of the ride.
As far as content goes, I found a lot of cool stuff and much of it was good quality even though the overall size of images and movies ranges some from one set/site to the next. You'll find some real Hentai comics written in Japanese?, with categories like: Black Dog, Okachi, Inkpot, Delta Box, Fetish Children, and even some of your famous toons like Archie, Batman, Beetlejuice, Chipmunks, Ghostbusters, The Jetsons, Sailor Moon and more. I'd say the content here is good given the variety but the navigational features in all could use some work. For instance, how is one supposed to remember where they saw a certain type of content or site without having the option of a favorite's folder? Also, while some sites required no further log-on, others did and there wasn't much consistency overall when it came to viewing the videos. You'll find that most are broken down into clips and offered as WMV, DivX or MPEG files and often take longer to download than you'll have patience for. For instance, one clip can take as long as 10 minutes and that was on a DSL connection (for me). It's not that the bit rate was off, just that the files are large without any option for a smaller file (shorter download) or stream, for that matter. On the other hand, if you're like me you'll really enjoy the lenghtly (20-30 minutes), high quality videos that most sites offer.
From what I've seen from other anime/toon sites, the price is almost always higher than the norm for paysites and the navigation is always a source of conflict. With that said, I think that HentaiKey.com is a great AVS of sites when it comes to the amount of content that is offered along with the quality of it as well. While some sites are easy as pie to navigate, others are downright awkward and without any sort of site/content favorite's folder, many of you might find it difficult to find your way back to something special. I also think that the search features on the main member's area could stand to be vamped up quite a bit and I found that searching by keyword didn't always take you to where you wanted to go. In the end I think the Hentai lovers who don't have an extremely discerning taste for their porn will be happy with the variety and quality that is found here, but as is with every site, that doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to see a lot of improvements here overall.
