For "the ultimate Hentai experience," today we're reviewing Hentai Key, the first and evidentally largest Hentai network online. There are over 800 sites in this AVS along with an AVS supplied collection of exclusive and licensed content. The tour is very nicely designed and is set up so that surfers can browse and search through their directory to get a feel for all that is included. $30 a month seems very reasonable for this much sexy toon content.
Usually AVSs are a bear to navigate but that was not so with Hentai Key. They keep things clean and simple but full of functionality. On the member's area index page you're presented with links to the AVS supplied content (categorized as original or licensed images, comics, and movies), a list of their latest updates (occurring several times a week), and a search feature for making your way through the thousands of photos and videos available. Further down the page you'll see links to the actual included sites. The top rated sites are immediately visible and the rest can be browsed by category or searched for by keyword. The 800 sites are classified as either GT (500) or Free (300) with the GT sites meeting higher standards. On top of that, there are GT Featured sites which offer at least 100GB of content and are updated more frequently, some even update daily. Sites are displayed in stardard AVS format with a link and a one sentence description. At least you only have to enter your password once!
As one would expect from an AVS, the individual sites vary a good bit. Some are designed better than others. Some offer their movies as mpegs and others as wmvs and on top of that some of the wmvs are DRM protected. There were also a few broken links here and there. Most annoying, perhaps, are the slow page loading and video download times. Several times I just gave up on a download because it was taking so long. Technical complaints aside, I will admit there is a lot of good content to be found here. And it's not just Hentai. They've got Anime, Manga, movies, games, toons, artist, and 3D sites, as well. Once again, quality is hit or miss but most of the sites I looked at seemed to have put some effort into providing nice looking material. If you take the time to look through the collection, you might be surprised with some real gems.
As I mentioned before, there is a good bit of content supplied by Hentai Key, as well. Actually I think this section might have been my favorite part of the network! I liked the consistancy of the displays and was very impressed with how much original content they have.
The problem with most AVSs is that they try to include everything and end up satisfying no one. With such a range of themes, they're difficult to categorize and, thus, navigate. For Hentai Key that isn't a problem. They've kept things clean so members can focus on their other strength, the sheer volume of content. It will takes members a long time to make it through their 4,000GB of content! The exclusive content also impressed me. Hentai Key isn't immune to the other ailment of AVSs, and that is varying content quality, but I think the good sites outweigh the bad in this collection. $30 a month is very fair for all that is offered.
