"Welcome to the most intimate and sensual collection of erotica on the net," says Petter Hegre, winner of the Erotic Oscars "Erotic Photographer of the Year 2001" award and proprietor of Hegre-Archives.com. Not your average adult site, Petter's site is more of a collection of beautiful nude photographs than your typical "wam bam thank you ma'am" porn website. I haven't spent much time investigating this niche, so I approached Petter's site with a fair amount of curiosity.
Upon entering the member's area, the first thing I noticed was that the site is updated daily since January of 2002. The links on the left make it very easy to jump to any month and view the galleries posted on each day. Navigation is simple and intuitive; click on the thumbnail to view the gallery. I was slightly disappointed to see that I couldn't browse the galleries by model. There were many very beautiful women of whom I would have loved to see their complete collections. However, upon consideration I realized why the galleries are organized as they are. This isn't a site that celebrates the models individually. Rather, it lauds the female form in general. The site is more of an album from the perspective of Petter and the women are simply subjects. This is not a negative aspect to me, just a unique difference of this site that is worth mentioning.
As expected of a world-renowned photographer, the pictures are extraordinarily good quality. The images are crisp and clear and really a pleasure to look at. The model poses are as interesting as the locations in which he shoots. Equally impressive is the size of these pictures. While most hover in the 1200x1000 range some of the newer sets are available at a mindblowing 2000x1300! All of the pictures are softcore, with the majority featuring the beautiful women in natural, outdoor settings. The videos are also very good quality and are a nice quick download. While the videos were interesting to watch, I find them more intriguing in a behind the scenes sort of way. Each video is actually filmed while Petter is photographing the girl. We watch the girls undress and Petter direct them for the shoot. All of this is set to music. They are not necessarily as erotic as the photos, but one can still appreciate the beauty of the women in them.
I think my favorite section would have to be the "Travel Reports." Petter travels the world in search of beautiful women and locales to photograph and keeps a complete written and photographic record of his adventures. If you tire of the repetitive bedroom pictures that most sites post by the thousand, you will certainly welcome the variety of women and scenery here. He finds beauty and sensuality in the most unlikely places. From the deserts of Africa to the cold streets of Moscow, Petter captures an erotisism seldom seen on most adult websites.
This is a really well done website. The photographs are simply gorgeous. Combining the high quality images with the ease of navigation, effective design, daily updates, and reasonable cost, makes this site a tough one to beat. I would love to see Petter tackle some more hardcore subjects. I think that would push this site up right over the top. Meanwhile, this is still a first rate site and one I think could appeal to a wide audience. Who doesn't care for superior images of naturally beautiful women? This is a great site and one I highly recommend.

I'm pleased to report that not much has changed on this fantastic site. We still have daily updates of high-quality images and as we speak Petter Hegre is off in Paris shooting more beautiful women for this great website. As expected, the content count has increased from 26,000 pics to around 40,000 and the videos have gone from 50 to 80. Both respectable increases.
Though it doesn't really reflect a change in the content of the site, it is still worth mentioning the new direction the philosphy of the site has taken. Recently, Hegre founded the New Nudes/New Hopes Charity. To give something back to the struggling people of Eastern Europe, Hegre has decided to give 1% of the site's net monthly earnings to institutions like rape crisis centers, orphanages, and other health and human welfare organizations, in addition to selecting individual families in need of financial and material assistance. I would be pleased to know that my membership fee was going to such a worthy cause (heck, it may even be tax deductible!).
Speaking of fees, the price structure has also changed slightly. Previously it was simply $24.95 a month. Now it's $29.95 for the first month and $24.95 for each additional month. Not a big change if you're thinking of sticking around but it is a significant increase for those just interested in a one month stand.
One other interesting tidbit worth mentioning is Hegre's new match-making program. Because he found love and marriage with one of his models, he hopes others can do the same. Members are encouraged to submit applications for select models that they would like to have personal contact with. I can't think of too many sites that encourage romance between the models and members! This is a very interesting idea and I'd love to see if any serious matches are made.
I sure have managed to say a lot about a site that hasn't made any significant content changes! Anyhow, I'm pleased to see that despite the sameness in style, Hegre is keeping things fresh with these new ideas. This remains an intriguing, quality site, one that still deserves my strong recommendation.

Another year has passed and another 20,000 pictures have been added to Hegre's fantastic nude collection bringing his photo count to almost 60,000. He's still updating this great site daily with his experiences as he travels the world, most recently to South Africa, on his never endimg quest for natural beauty. As if these photos needed to get any better, they're now offered at a fourth size of 3000x1880. These are definitely some of the biggest and best pics online. The only other thing that I believe is new here is his Photo Forum where members can submit their own nude photo collections to be shared online. With 3,700 pics available in this section, it's a nice way to add even more artistic nude content to the site. There's not much else to add really. This is still a great collection and certainly deserving of its status as one of our highest rated sites. Highly recommended!

Hegre Art continues to set the bar in the world of high quality nude photography. It's been a year since we last visited and improvements have been made to this already top notch site. I noted in my last follow-up that a fourth image size was being offered. Many of the galleries are now offered in a sixth size, 6000x4500 That's just massive! I have never come across pictures that large anywhere on the web! The daily updates have continued bringing the photo count to 73,000 and the video count to 180. The video section has also been improved with the addition of more video formats. Movies can now be viewed in Windows Media, iPod, Quicktime, and as DivX avis and PSP zips. This is truly a fantastic site and one I give highest regard to.
