Intro

Harlem Boyz is a hardcore gay site that describes itself as "Amateur Thugz from Harlem Fucking Dirty". To clean that up a bit it is indeed black guys in hardcore and some solo jerk-off scenes. Essentially it's a video site with the bulk of the content being downloadable scenes and then a smaller number of photo galleries are available. The site is part of the Gay Porn Mega Sites network so members do get access to bonus sites which are a fairly eclectic mix including many asian themes, a European site, and some other more general niches.

The Pros

Hardcore Gay Black Guy Videos, Some Solo Scenes Also.

These scenes features black guys and some dark skinned latinos in hardcore guy/guy banging and the occasional solo jerking off scene. In other words the content does fit nicely with the stated theme and I%u2019m okay with them really focusing on just the videos and letting the photo gallery section remain small and not get updates any longer. They have over one hundred videos so that's a decent amount for this type of niche site.

Full-Scene WMV Files & Flash Streaming, Good Download Speeds.

Video formatting is consistent throughout the whole site. For downloads there are full-scene WMV files and most also have a MP4 iPod file as a secondary option. The WMV files come in around 100-250MB on average. In-browser Flash streaming loads/buffers quickly and allows for immediate jumping ahead. The download speeds are better than most paysites I look at as I got around 1.0-1.2MB/sec which means saving the videos is pretty quick.

Other Good Stuff:

Update information is stamped on all the videos and galleries.
Clear file size information is posted for each movie.
Network bonus sites are included. They feature a mix of other gay hardcore sites particularly a number that are asian themed.

The Cons

Fairly Grainy Videos, Quality/Specs are Average to Low.

While the movies are available in full-scene WMV files the quality is a clear weakness. The specs come in around 1900k 640x480 to 1300k 640x480 and the main issue is that they're not all that sharp or clear. The Flash streaming quality is about the same. Really the biggest thing that they could do to increase the value of the collection would be to offer higher quality videos. The site is lacking in that area.

Updates Have Fallen Off Recently, Getting More Sporadic.

Our reviews are a snapshot in time however the trend on the updates is quite noticeable. They had been going at a rate of one new update per week which is okay but over the past months there have been gaps of 6-8 weeks. They added a couple more items and then another gap. The 'coming soon' section video and photo sections don't have any items listed.

Minor Negatives:

Some of the scenes have written descriptions but others do not have any details beyond just the scene title.
There is a live cam upsell in the member's area.

Bottom Line

Black guys in hardcore & solo action however the video quality is lacking.

Taking into consideration the video quality issue and the size of the site it's probably best to look at Harlem Boyz as one part of the larger network of which it's a part. It's a big of a unique collection with other ethnic guy sites that are mostly asian but members here might find those of interest as well.
