Intro

Besides having a funny name, The Grooby Archives also claims to be "the largest transsexual erotica site in the world!" Not just on the Internet, in the world! Apparently this is their combined offering of what you can expect to find on their individual sites: Shemale Yum, Black TGirls, Brazilian Transsexuals, and more. $35.99 per month gives you access to an enormous collection of tranny content, with more than 4,710 models in 978.500 images and 5.634 videos. Now that's a lot of content! And if you consider that their individual company sites also cost $35.99 per month each, this massive archive is actually a deal for fans of variety in their tranny content.

The Pros

Large Archive & Variety of Tranny Content.

Currently there are more than 4,700 models featured in close to 1 million pics and 5,600 videos. These sexy trannies can be found in a large variety of great, highly entertaining tranny content. You will also find some fetish content including uniforms, pantyhose and more. Basically this is the content archived and taken from all of the Grooby company sites.

HD Videos.

It looks like all of the newest videos here offer 1280x720 HD specs with bitrate speeds upwards of 4600k. Overall they look really nice and the consistency is one of the nicer aspects of this large archive. Images look too, but I would love to see them even larger in size.

Other Good Stuff:

Some models offer short bios and many of the models are featured in more than one shoot on the site.
This week alone about 22 new image galleries and videos were added. This schedule seems fairly consistent and keeps the already large archive growing at a steady pace.

The Cons

Video Download Options Are Minimal.

These days most downloads are WMV in high, medium quality, or even HD quality. Often times they even break down the videos into 2 clips, 1 full shoot and then one that just features the cum shot. That's a great feature, I just wish the streams were offered in Flash format for ease of jumping around the scene without the lengthy buffer and that alternate download formats (MPG, Mobile, etc.) would be made available.

Site Design Needs Work.

With so much content, there really should be more ways to browse is than just by model. That's all that is offered really, an alphabetical listing of the models along with a preview image. Along with that they give a short bio, access to all of their content and information on which site they originally appeared. I could have really benefited from content categories or an advanced search feature. There's such a variety of hardcore and softcore content, so many different types and looks for the models, let's get some searches going!

Minor Negatives:

Download speeds are slow. Even with a DL manager, the fastest I could get was 750KB/second. And without the use of a download manager it was something closer to 200KB.
Older content quality and video formats are not as consistent/good as the newer stuff. With an archive that dates back to 2005, it's to be expected.
A tool to separate out the HD quality videos from the rest would be helpful for users looking for the ultimate in quality.
Recurring monthly price tag is quite high at almost $35 bucks per month.
No ZIPs are offered for the image sets.

Bottom Line

A butt-load of tranny content, for those of you simply wanting lots of tranny content.

Overall this is just one hell of a big tranny site with a mish-mash of hardcore and softcore, exclusive content. There's a ton of variety here and I just wish there was an easier way to see it all! Ultimately I don't like the way the site design limits one's ability to easily browse through all this great content to find exactly what they want to see, but if you're just one big tranny content fan and are looking for one enormous archive of content, well then you've found your match. But if you're looking for a tranny site with a lot of personality and specific looks or sex acts, then you might be disappointed here.
