You know those girls you see around town with the pale skin, tattoos and piercings, and hair that is any color but the one they were born with? The ones dressed in black carrying Hot Topic bags and sporting pins on their backpacks that read "Fuck the World" and "Vampires Rule." Ever want to see them naked? Come on, you know you do! Well, Gothic Sluts is your opportunity to do just that. Owned and operated by renowned fetish photographers Amelia G and Forrest Black (also of Barely Evil creation), Gothic Sluts offers an intimate glimpse at real gothic girls shedding their latex and leather for the skilled lenses of Gothic Sluts.
The design is about what you'd expect from a goth site. Can ya guess what color the background is? If you said black then you must've read your goth website handbook. Seriously, though, the design is simple and uncluttered and appropriate for the site. I counted 400 galleries online for a total collection of around 24,000 pictures. The majority of the sets are exclusive but they're mixed with licensed galleries so there's no way of know exactly how many of the galleries are unique to the site. They don't mention how often they update but at least the collection is large enough to keep you busy until you figure it out. The image quality is quite nice. The photos are good sized at 600x800 and clearly shot by a professional. There are a few different styles you'll find in the galleries. Some of the sets are shot in front of a plain studio backdrop. This is usually the case when the model is wearing a particularly unusual costume. Others are shot in interesting locations and use unconventional lighting and camera angles. One thing that surprised me here was the overall softcore nature of the entire website. Most of the galleries simply feature these hot young goths stripping and striking erotic poses. It's very sexy, but it just surprised me since I tend to associate "fetish" with "hardcore."
There are also 24 video clips online. They're all around a minute long and can be streamed and downloaded as WMVs (though the latest vid is also offered in Quicktime and Real Media). No quality choices, they all play at around 400k which is pretty good. They look fine, not as good as the pictures do but on par with better amateur video sites. I'd really like to see this section of the site grow to better match the size and quality of the photo collection.
As far as bonus content goes, there is a forum which is actually pretty active. Several of the models regularly participate in discussions on sexuality, the website, and current events. Being able to interact with the models and webmasters/photographers is a really nice feature here. There are also some games, stories, a poll, and a chatroom that was empty when I visited it. All in all they're some fine extras, especially the forum.
There aren't many goth/fetish sites out there that offer a large collection of good quality exclusive material. Gothic Sluts, though, does. I think $20 a month is a fair price for this much unique content. Though a site of this nature won't appeal to everyone, it is strong within its genre and worth a look for those who enjoy unconventional beauty.
