Intro

Gladirex VOD is a video on-demand site featuring gay movies by Gladirex Studio. With a hot collection of young European men, Gladirex offers up a mix of kink, hardcore, and masturbation. It's pay as you go, so you can check out their whole archive without paying a dime.

The Pros

Hot original scenes.

The scenes in this collection are all original, produced by Gladirex Studio and Perverzzo. It's an interesting mix of series that includes themes like clothed female nude male, male medical exams, watersports, army boys, masturbation, and fetish/domination. There seems to be a little bit of everything here! The models are cute young European men, and there are even a couple women here, as well (in the CFNM category). They produce all their own content.

Good-sized collection.

Gladirex offers plenty for members to enjoy. There are currently 468 videos in their collection. The videos range in length from 7 minutes to one hour. Boy Medical Exams and Boys in Love are their largest categories, offering page upon page of hot young men getting busy.

Nice quality material.

These videos definitely look good. They're wmvs that play at 3000k and are 720x576 in size. They're labeled "DVD quality" and I'd say that's about right. They're not HD but they're certainly above average and I thought they looked quite nice.

Other Good Stuff:

They've got some good basic tools for navigating the site. You can browse by category, studio, most downloaded, and by actor name. It's not the most advanced set-up, but these are still good tools that made it easy enough to get around.
The site design is clean and attractive. I liked the colors and graphics and was pleased to find no member's area ads.

The Cons

Expensive PPV set-up.

The prices here are reasonable enough, as far as ppv sites go, but you're still going to end up spending more than you would on a traditional paysite. Most scenes cost 10 tokens. At best, you're spending 80 cents per token, so around $8 per scene. Watch three scenes and you've basically spent a month's membership to a regular site. If you're a big fan of this studio or just want a few scenes, then it's worth the cost, but if you're just after some generic gay porn, there are cheaper alternatives.

No video viewing options.

You're limited to one format (wmv) in one quality setting for downloading these scenes. There are no other file types or options for viewing the movies here.

Minor Negatives:

No update information is provided. There's a section of new releases, but there are no dates. I'm not sure when new material is added.
Downloads came slowly. With either a download manager or using my browser, I was stuck at speeds of about 1/3rd of what I'm seeing on other sites. It took quite a while to download some of these scenes.
I'd love to see head shots (not just names) on the model index page!

Bottom Line

An entertaining collection, as long as you don't mind ppv.

Gladirex VOD has a nice-sized collection of good-looking original videos. I'm not a huge fan of the pay-per-view set-up, but I can see how it could be a good thing for some people. If you're after a few specific videos or just want to sample Gladirex's collection, it's worth a look.
