(recurring)Gay Military Pass is up for review today, and with a site name like that, I was a bit surprised that it wasn't a network of some kind. While you get access to the Rainbow Pimps network of sites, this one is a normal paysite that obviously focuses on hardcore military sex. The military aspect is more prevalent in some scenes than others, but at least you'll get to see guys in camo shirts. It's a pretty small site, and while updates do come, they come rather slowly. The network access will be a big help here. $30 a month gets you inside, though we're not 100% sure what that rebills at since they don't list the recurring price for some reason.
Exclusive gay content.
I guess it's one of the main reasons you'd join the site, to check out the exclusive military man content. I assume this is all exclusive, and the niche is just enough to set them apart a little bit from the crowd.
Network access included.
Since the site is so small, the network access comes in very handy here to get you a little more content for your money. You have 15-20 extra sites included with your membership, all featuring gay content at least so they're actually useful.
HD quality is available.
The HD videos look okay here, and it's nice to have the option. Of course, you're stuck viewing four clips or so per scene to see them in HD, but it's better than not at all.
Very small site for now.
They are under 20 scenes, and that's just not acceptable these days, and does not constitute much of a paysite. They need more content, and fast. Unfortunately (see below), the updates aren't coming quickly exactly, so expect low numbers for quite some time going forward.
Downloads were pretty slow.
At best, download speeds were about 1/6th of our max connection speed, and got down to 1/12th of our max speed when using the browser download only. This made for some pretty slow downloads all around, and I hope they can get that up to par.
For some reason, the full-scene downloads come in SD and don't look that great. To get HD content, you're stuck viewing the clips only (even though the big download is labeled as HD - weird).
Updates come, but they're pretty slow. They add a new scene every two weeks from what I can tell, which makes for some slow going.
There are no zip files available here for the photo galleries, which may be annoying for some.
For some reason, I could not get the streaming WMV option to work at all, either in Firefox, or in IE. I ran into a Windows Media Player error every time I tried.
Some okay scenes, but it needs some solid growth overall.
The size really hurts Gay Military Pass unfortunately. With just 17 scenes or so currently, there's not enough to see at all. Updates come only every other week, which is much slower than I'd like to see. The HD option is cool, but why do they only offer it in smaller clips, and not for the full-scene download? For now, this is mostly a nice bonus site for their network if you ask me. I don't foresee anyone sticking around for this site alone for too long, mostly because of the size and pretty slow updates.
