PROS:

"Original hardcore gay episodes but they need to work on a better member's area design."
Gay Lessons is a hardcore gay niche site with the concept of more mature guys teaching younger twink like models the ropes. As the guest tour delineates the action includes all sorts of hardcore action featuring both one-on-one and group shoots. The video trailers available to guests are representative of what's available inside the member's area.

The Goods:

- Original Hardcore Gay/Euro Content. The content here is exclusive plus this is a European based company so that adds a bit of a different feel to the content than you'll find in American porn. They do take the time to provide written descriptions of the action for both pic galleries and videos. This provides the model name and follows through on the "lesson" they're being shown.

- Nice Quality Videos & Pictures. The videos are posted in segments with parts put online every few days. These are clip files and then the final update for an episode includes a high-quality full-movie downloadable file. It takes a while for a full episode to get online but in the end there are full-files and clips. The pictures are nice quality as well and zip files are offered on them.

- Good Update Info & Network Access. Dates are clearly posted for each of the picture galleries and videos across the site. They also have an update page which archives recent additions. The included network is a collection of hardcore gay niche sites which have similar style shoots to Gay Lessons.

The Bads:

- Not Very Many Video Episodes. Because they update in video segments and then add a full movie file the movies section in the member's area seems larger than it actually is. The actual total number of episodes is really small as can be seen on the TBP site fact listings. The picture gallery section is bigger than the videos which shouldn't be the case on a site like this.

- Poor Navigation & Categorization. Browsing the galleries and especially the videos is more work than it should be. They don't separate out the individual episodes from one another so the updates/parts bleed together on the lists. The do have options to sort the list by chronological order, title, and # of views but what they really need to do is clearly list each episode separately.

- Some Upsell Links/Ads. These ads appear as headers and footers on when browsing the picture gallery and video episode pages. They're not overly obtrusive but are another negative aspect to the member's area design. There are also a couple banner ads mixed in amongst the list of bonus network sites.

Conclusion:

The key assets of Gay Lessons are the exclusive content shoots with European models plus the pretty nice quality pics and vids. Since they have gone through the effort to put together their own collection of material I'd like to see the site navigation improved to make things more user-friendly there. Also, getting more episodes online is important and we'll see how they do with that in the future.
