Free Form Studios fits into the artistic nude photography category with softcore content of amateur models. There are quite a number of these sites out there and I think it's a good way for photographers to showcase their work. It allows them to package it for the public without having to do any sort of contract work or use a publisher. The sample pics provided on the guest tour will give you a good cross section of the shoots available to members.
The Goods:
- Original Photography, Amateur Models. The shoots feature cute amateur models in softcore solo stripping and posing galleries. As I expect from a photography site the girls clothes, shoot settings, and style are key aspects to the material. He mixes things up well doesn't just shoot girls in the same setting over and over. There is even some black and white work in there as well.
- Picture Quality is Pretty High. Although it does vary the overall picture quality is solid. Some of the galleries have what TBP considers high-resolution pictures and the one that don't qualify as high-res are just short of it. Since pictures are make up virtually all the content the quality is a key point.
- Very Low Monthly Price. Cheap rates are always a good thing to see. There are many different options here including an expensive trial that doesn't make much sense but the flat recurring and non-recurring monthly prices are low. Considering the number of models and the fact that it's basically a picture only site the prices seem commensurate with what Free From offers.
The Bads:
- Varying Pic Options, No Zip Files. The expectations for photography sites are higher than what more general site that have a mix of picture and video content. While the picture quality is solid there are many galleries that have no resolutions choices. Others do have multiple sizes so the inconsistency is a negative. Zip files aren't offered which is surprising for this type of material.
- Design & Model Index Could Use Work. The overall design concept can be felt on the guest tour and it carries over to the member's area. They could do a better job of presenting this photography. Specifically on the model index the page requires an awful lot of scrolling which shouldn't be the case.
- Update Info Details Not Provided. The gallery pages are organized in chronological order and they do have directions on finding the newest galleries versus the older material. Still, no details or log is provided to track updates. Instead they simply update every few days depending on their shooting schedule.
Conclusion:
Free Form Studios is clearly a picture gallery based site however I did run across a few videos while checking out the collection. They don't highlight where videos are and I simply stumbled into them in a couple of the model galleries. While the photography style and models are what I expected to see the site and picture features are in need of some improvements.
