Have you ever had discussions with friends who say "paysites are stupid; they all have the same content in them"? Fetish Planet and similar networks are the reason why people feel that way. These guys have 22 sites that all look amazingly similar and rely heavily on leased 3rd party content. Surfing the members area is like trying to carefully navigate a mine field of upsells. Pay-per-view videos, cam shows, phone sex, and XXX web search are just a few examples that I currently see on Fetish Planet's main member’s page. Amazingly, the pay-per-view videos link listed under the heading "Featured Content"! Now that I've got that off my chest, the truth is this network does have something to offer because they have so many sites that total so much content. However, it is important to point out they make use of many tactics such as leased content feeds and upsells that allow people to stereotype all paysites as repetitive.
So what is offered as far as content goes? Well, as the title Fetish Planet suggests, this place is heavy on the hardcore fetishes such as bondage, trampling, waxing, spanking, and smothering. Many more mild niches like asian, cumshots, anal, lesbian, and toons are also represented among the 22 network sites. The content format on each site follows includes pictures, streaming videos, and the 3rd party stuff. Each site does have lots of pics that are usually sub-categorized into either niche (i.e. BigNipple.com has big nipples, big tits, tiny tits, cleavage, etc.) or type of pics (video stills, digital stills, image capture, etc.). No matter which site you're on the "Streaming Movies" link will take you to the same place. There you'll find 21 categories of videos hosted on Fetish Planet's site. The format is in-browser streaming Windows Media Player with a choice of two connection speeds. Overall there are a lot of movies which makes it a decent collection even if they only play is in-browser or full-screen.
Moving beyond their hosted pictures and videos, there is a ton of 3rd party XXX channels, movies, feeds, pictures, e-zines, games, etc. Included is a bunch of fetish channels which is what audiences of this site would be most interested in. None of it is anything that couldn't be found on other paysites, but they do have a boat-load of it. The quality and navigation varies depending on which company is providing the feed, but for the most part they are just average.
The Best Porn doesn't review too many corporate networks like Fetish Planet's, but this one just had so many fetish sites that we thought it was worth our time. Visiting makes me more thankful for smaller independent sites that create exclusive porn. Five or six years back this would have been as good as it gets for bondage fans. Nowadays there some nice fetish sites producing original and very high-quality are out there if you know where to look (The Best Porn's fetish section may be a good place to start!). If you've never joined a huge network such as this one, it may be worth a quick look simply because of the massive amount of stuff that will keep you busy. Sheer quantity is its one big strength. Like their fellow networks a trial are available, it's $2.95 for 3 days. Considering all of the member's area upsells and the fact that the trial recurs at $34.95/mo, I'm sure that low cost trial is probably very profitable for these guys.
