What a beautiful site. Explicite, which is the brainchild of French photographer and porn director John B. Root, is focused on John's career in the adult business. The site is very simply designed, which is a great change from the popups, blinking icons, and huge collages of the same old porn chicks that fill most paysite tours. Another thing that I love is that his tour is basically an exact replica of what you get inside. If only every site was like this, you wouldn't have to dig around for hours with limp dick in hand looking for the chick on the tour you fell in love with.
In case you were finding it hard to find the join links (like I was), once you get to the point that you think you're gonna see some boobs, you'll find the join page real quick! They throw the join page in your face every chance they get. The standard pricing is set at $29.95 a month, not great but not horrible either. They have the usual bevy of options if you want non-recurring, or a longer initial membership. The funny thing to me was the $15 THREE DAY trial - what the hell's up with that? Some sites are only $15 a month, and you'd only get three days for that here? I'd stay away from that option unless you know you wanna quit before it rebills, as 33 days will end up putting you back $45 if you choose this method.
A bit of a weird start, but I've kept my mind open as their tour stuff looks pretty sharp and I've read so much about our host John that I want to see what he can do. Once inside, you can't really tell you're inside except that all the picture and video links finally work! It looks just like the tour. You're initially presented with the latest updates, the menu, a blurb from John himself about the site, and the latest total picture and video count. As of today's writing there's almost 22,000 pics, and just over 350 videos. They update three times a week and usually add about 100 photos.
Once at the content, he has low and high quality versions of everything. The low's are what you'd expect, photos are at 600x400. Watch out if you click high quality, as they're a whopping 1800x1200. I wish there was an inbetween so I don't have to squint or scroll depending on the size I chose, but nothing is perfect! Don't be like I was the first time and miss the next/previous links in the upper right corner to see more pages. I thought this was a non-nude site at first since I was only looking at the first page of each gallery, lol. Picture quality is outstanding. Even the large images load quickly, and are extremely crisp. This guy John obviously knows what he's doing in the photography department. Plus since he has the whole french thing going on, the models are all brand new to me. His shoots cover a wide range of standard porn including solo, hardcore, and lesbians... FRENCH lesbians, that's pretty cool. They have a bit more of a glamour/artsy feel to me which is a nice change. John's style definitely shows through in his work, and it gives it a bit more character than the standard in 'n out porn bits we see everyday.
The video looks great as well. They have several streaming options including a high and low quality feeds. They are all in Windows Media format, which is alright by me. They do offer downloadable videos as well, but you're limited to 10 downloads per day. I guess that's setup to keep you coming back for more, but it's pretty annoying. Other than that, the videos possess the same high-quality directing, optics, and lighting as their picture set cousins. The models are relative unknowns to me, but are all cute enough. One note, make sure your video is set to display at 100%. For some reason mine kept reverting to 50% size which doesn't look nearly as nice - it may be something on my computer that's screwy, but this is the only site it happens to. The length is good too, at about 15 minutes being the average clip length. It appears that they're actually streaming them from a Windows Media Server, so you can jump ahead or back at any time (although you do have to wait for it to buffer again).
Between the clean looking site, decent frequency and size of updates, and the exclusivity John has, this site is a definite winner. The only downsides would be the limit on your video downloads, and the medium-high pricing. Still, for $30 a month you'll get at least 12 updates, which should equate to about 1,000 new photos plus a couple new videos with that. But the high-quality content, the truth in advertising, and the constant release of new stuff makes it more than worth it to check it out at least once. You may find it's not exactly what you were looking for, but will be pleased regardless.

While we've been dicking around over here at TheBestPorn.com, John's been faithfully updating Explicite with more and more stuff. The picture count hasn't grown too quickly (but there's over 27,000 pics now), while the videos are up past the 450 mark!
Being one of the very first sites we looked at, there wasn't a lot to compare it to. Looking back now, I'm even more amazed by the quality of images. The video is good, but doesn't quite live up to the standards the photos set earlier.
Nothing has really changed here, but it didn't really need to. Going back wasn't just as much to look for new changes, but to re-evaluate with a more keen eye than before. I'll bump a few scores up as I think the site deserves it. It's still a little expensive, but worth it if you're looking for some unique, quality content.

Right off the bat I notice a new design here, which is always nice to see. It still retains much of the same elements as before, but with a cleaner look now in my opinion. The site of course has also been slowly expanding with new content as it's added, and they now offer over 30,000 pictures and 515+ videos as well.
The content looks as good as ever. Pictures are huge (1800x1200 for some of the high-quality ones) and look awesome. Videos could still be improved a bit as they are about where they were before (320x240 400kbps in WMV format). The only other thing I'd change are some navigation features (easier categories, more thumbs per page, etc.), but the photo content here is awesome and that's what you should come to see. Updates come almost daily (maybe 20-23 a month) which should keep things fresh and growing until our next look!

Well, well... we've seen this site a few times before, and things seem to get just a bit better each time. For now, updates are still coming very often (about six days a week) which has helped growth here quite a bit. Not to mention that this is all exclusive content, which makes the updates that much better. They've also added a few functionality features including a top list, and zip files for their photosets. The zip file feature is definitely a welcome one, as they had pretty good download features before but were missing that specific option.
I think the content still looks great, and should be the main reason you'd join. The fact that you'd get a lot of updates in your month-long membership is a big help as well. Still a very cool site that's probably worth a look if you might be interested in the content at all.

Well well, we have a new name, a new price, and some new video options right off the bat here. For some reason they added the word "art" to the title of their site, and Explicite Art was re-born here. They've always had pretty artsy content I suppose, but I'm a fan of leaving well enough alone (especially when it comes to the name of a site). The intitial price has jumped up to $40 a month, though it still recurs at $30 a month it looks like. There are more video options than ever here with Windows Media Video, Quicktime, DivX, and MPG's available, plus a pre-formatted ipod video as well. The content of course is as good as ever, and with their high score you know this is a great site all around.
