Explicite.com is the official site of French TV & film producer John B. Root. The site just opened in June 2002, and it's fitting a professional whose credits include Penthouse. It's quite clear why they only got the site online last year, they wanted to get things right. I mean if you're going to do a tribute to the greatness of yourself, why not make it kick ass? The site is clean and easy to navigate while containing the full uncensored collection of Root's works. No doubt about it, this is not your typical wham bam thank you ma'am porn site. It's dedicated to the man and his productions. Oh don't worry though, it's still porn, yes hardcore porn.
A true pro, you'll find Mr Root has been a busy man. You can browse his collection of films, debutantes (fresh faces), hardore scenes, and "attic" (less than perfect women he says - but they looked good to me!). As of this review there's 21,000+ pics and 352 videos. Both pics and vids are viewable in hi and low res formats, and the Hi res videos (windows media player) actually look good in full screen mode. Everything is searchable by star, type of scene, and keyword. You'll probably recognize a couple of the stars, but most looked new to me.
Great stuff right? Well yes, but... Even though the site's impressive, you need to be in the mood for something artistic. It's clear this man has a vision and giving you quick dirty hardcore sex isn't it. Some of the photo series and videos get right into stripping down, masturbation, and/or sex, but that's not the bulk of it. There's lots of production and direction behind most of the content. Beleive it or not, I even found some of the videos to have creativity and plots to them. I know it's nuts but to get the most from this site, you really need to enjoy the creative aspects of porn. It's what I'd consider a site for porn connoisseurs. If you are one of those connoisseurs, you'll be impressed, if not there's always the fast-forward button for the videos.
Take notice too of the membership options. The trial seems a bit pricey. It's $14.95 for 3 days while monthy recurring is $29.95. When you join, just stick to the monthly and you'll be fine. There's more than 3 days worth to see here and there's no reason to drop $15 on the trial only to renew at $29.95 a few days later.

Not all that much has changed since the initial Explicite review several months ago. Probably the biggest difference is just my perspective on the site. Having written so many more reviews since then makes me realize just how outstanding Explicite. I stand by my initial assessement that the movies here are semi-artistic and have more than just hardcore sex, but the reality is there are over 300 videos for crying out loud! And I'm talking original hardcore and softcore that aren't found elsewhere on the net. You can even watch his entire feature length hardcore movies.
I also didn't spend enough time emphasizing the high quality of the content. The videos and pictures is simply amazing. Very few sites come close to having such crisp and sharp media. These are hot models too, and I might add not the same rehashed pornstars you'll see everywhere else. With its professional design and content, Explicite certainly rates among the top paysites around and that's why it's near the top of The Best Porn's ratings.

Explicite has changed their free tour to include their review scores from several sites. I don't blame them; they've managed to get good ratings all over the place. That doesn't mean the member's area has changed, things are still divided up the same way except for a "see all the girls now" link, which is a model directory. Actually it's quite useful since the content is in rather unorthodox categories like Les Films, Debutantes, Hardcore, and Attic. The model directory makes it easy to find girls without understanding what's in each of those sections. The one flaw is that's it's not alphabetized, I'm not really sure what order it is.
More content continues to be added, there's now over 30k pictures and 516 videos. For a site with an original look and feel about it, that is an impressive amount of material. And the hot European chicks are still fun too.

I've had a chance to review and re-review Explicite a handful of times now. I remember the first time thinking what a unique collection of films John B. Root had to offer. He still has those online but in addition the other sections of the site have continued to grow. Much of the other content outside of the "Les Films" sections are more straightforward shoots meaning they're not so artistic. This is good to see. There's now an excellent balance between the film like material and the more straightforward galleries and videos. A couple items worth point out are a page containing the Top 50 series as voted by members and that the pictures are now available as zip downloads. Explicite has more features and content then it ever has in the past. It's still a well done and original porn site with content you won't find anywhere else.

Taking a look all the way back to my initial review a few years back I see that Explicite Art (they've renamed the site now) has more than doubled their content since then. That goes for both photos and videos making this site well rounded in the quantity field. Besides simply helping in the quantity rating the growth continues to contain more studio style shoots and not the full fledged films with artistic plots. The collection now in place is less heavy than ever on the artsy stuff and I suspect will be more appealing to a wider audience looking for hot chicks in more general softcore and hardcore shoots. Not sure if I mentioned this before but I also enjoy the foreign language and subtitles featured in many videos. I also noticed some videos have multiple format options including iPod format for whatever that's worth. One negative to note is the initial monthly membership has been raised up to $38.95 which recurs at $29.95 (the trial is now gone).
