Erotic Cinema is up for review today, and they claim they have the world's largest collection of adult movies. You have to be careful with statements like that, because we've seen some sites much larger than this before! I guess it's just something you say to help sell the site, but for some reason it stuck out to me. It looks like they offer some generic porn scenes, and some of them even come in HD video. It'll take $35 per month to be a member here, which is definitely on the expensive side.
The goods:
- Lots of videos up. They have over 650 videos up currently, which is a pretty large collection. It's definitely not the largest in the world, but it's a good size.
- Multiple scenes added daily. It changes from day to day, but in general there are 2-3 new scenes added each and every day. Hopefully they keep this up to really get their content counts as high as possible.
- Videos look decent, especially high-def. The normal videos looked pretty average/good I'd say, and of course the HD videos looked quite nice. The HD collection should continue to grow in proportion hopefully since that's where we're headed over the next few years I'm sure.
The bads:
- Non-exclusive content. Some of it may be exclusive for all I know, but they don't set it apart at all. I'd say overall, you'll looking at a mostly non-exclusive site here, which makes sense with the type of site they're running.
- Downloads were a bit slow. For being a video site, this one really gets to me depending how bad it is. We were running close to 1/4-1/2 speed on video downloads depending on the whim of the internet I guess.. It's made even worse because of the fact that... (see below)
- Can't browse site while downloading. Everything is run off PHP here, and there may be something set that prevents one person from making too many connections. While a video is downloading in the background, you can't even browse around to find your next video (let alone download a second video at once).
Conclusion:
It's a nice site overall here at Erotic Cinema, though it's not without its shortcomings. There's a lot to see, they update often, and the videos look pretty good. I'd say the site is a little basic in terms of navigation, the content isn't exclusive obviously, and the slow downloads hold them back a bit. The high price doesn't help either. However, you won't get ripped off here as there's some good stuff to check out. It'll end up middle of the road for me with the goods and bads.
