While I was happy not to see a bunch of dudes jacking off on the front page of English Spankers (it actually is about spanking in the literal sense), I found their main splash page quite confusing at first. There's text everywhere!! And it's quite tough to figure out where to go at first, either to join or to login to the member's area. I found my way through and their second page is a bit calmer thankfully, though the link to the member's area didn't work (and I had a javascript error popping up on my screen). It turns out the member's area link is actually a menu that opens, but it only did so once on my computer and never again until the page was reloaded. Once you jump through those hoops, you can login or join without problems, and you'll see that it's $30 a month to become a member.
The goods:
- Exclusive niche content. Whenever you see both exclusive content and niche content together, you're doing well as that is tough to come by. Many times if you like niche content, you're stuck with the same crap from five years ago that every other site has, so when it's original and fresh it's a very good thing.
- Videos look fantastic! They're shooting them with a high-definition setup it seems as they're over the 720x480 barrier of regular video cameras. They bump the quality up a bit from what you're used to seeing on most sites and they look great!! The pictures look fine, but the videos are where the fun is at.
- A bonus spanking site included. Since English Spankers isn't huge (though it's not small either), it's nice to have some other spanking content available to you as a member.
The bads:
- Not true high-definition videos yet. I'm not sure why they downsized the videos, but they don't quite fit the bill for true 1280x720 high-definition content right now for some reason. They look great of course, but I had to mention the fact since hardcore electronics geeks will notice.
- Member's area is pretty plain. Besides having no graphics and a weird setup in frames, you don't even get previews of the galleries as you browse through the site. They could definitely freshen things up here and really help the overall feel of the site.
- Not sure when updates come. The only date anywhere is on their bonus site which hasn't been updated in a couple months, and otherwise you're left to guess or watch for when updates come here which is never a good thing.
- Could use a bit of growth overall. It's not small by any means, but for the higher price you definitely want to maximize your money and I wouldn't mind seeing a larger collection next time we're here.
Conclusion:
The content isn't bad at all, especially the videos. The problems come in on the site itself which isn't as up-to-date as most sites we look at these days. I'm surprised too since their videos are so cutting edge. Either way, they balance themselves out and the site is decent overall, but not great yet. Those who enjoy spankings should definitely take a look, but keep an eye out to make sure they're growing before you start rebilling.
