"A very weird site of stories based on videos from feeds that didn't do it for me." |

As the kids on TV always used to say, "save the drama for your momma!" Whatever the hell that means, we're taking a look at a site called Drama Sex today. This site should prove to be interesting I'd say. I checked out our site facts right off the bat, and with no pictures and no videos up, I wasn't quite sure what you're paying for exactly. At least at $5 a month (which may revert back to $20 once a total of 50 memberships are sold at the discount price), your 0 pics and videos are cheaper than most sites! Once you get to the tour, you'll see we have a story site up for review, though it does provide content along with the story which should be interesting to check out.
The design is okay, but nothing too spectacular. Once inside the member's area, the menu along the left directs you to their stories. There's a few different categories they're divided into, though I don't see a master chronological list which I wouldn't mind having. It looks like updates come once a week on Fridays, though there are no dates on anything so you'll have to double check that one on your own.
As I browse around the site, I'm getting a better idea of what's going on here. Picking a story is pretty basic, but the one thing I don't see anywhere are pictures from the story. I checked the tour again, and sure enough they are promised, but I don't see any here (consequently, I found them later on the third-party video site as well). Basically they offer links to a third-party site with some videos that you have access to. From there, they write a story based on this video that you can read here. The stories are a good length, and are well-written, though usually a little cheesy.
The videos offered aren't really part of this site, and once or twice I couldn't even find the video mentioned. They play in your browser only, in high-quality or low-quality versions of Windows Media Video, Real Player, or Quicktime (the Real version can be played in your player usually). Quality is okay, usually around 320x240 and 500kbps or so.
Overall, I'm not too impressed unfortunately. You're paying for some feeds, which can probably be found on countless other sites with extra content, that only offer streaming videos. You get the stories they wrote that go along with the videos, but usually the storyline is pretty self-explanatory for me. The added creativity is an interesting idea, but for me it just doesn't work. At least $5 is cheap for it, but if the price were the regular $20 a month I just can't imagine it ever being worth it.
