The first thing I notice about Download Pass is that it allows non-members to fully browse the site. Yes, other high-end sites do this as well, but it's still worth pointing out. What a difference there is between a site like this and one that forces you to buy a membership based on a flashy or misleading tour. Without joining you can see everything for every movie including title, preview screen caps, DVD box cover, studio, run time, and stars. Furthermore you'll know whether or not there are enough movies in your desired niches to make the site worth joining. Basically, when it comes time to signup you can go into a membership with your eyes wide open, something that's still pretty rare in the internet porn biz.
No, Download Pass's movies are not exclusive; they are DVD titles from studios like Adam & Eve, Red Light, Puritan Video, Wildlife Productions, and a couple dozen more. Download Pass's selling point isn't originality; instead its strengths are in the number of movies (531+), browsing features, and downloadability. Downloadable hardcore DVDs like this are about as fun as porn gets for non-exclusive material. Okay, as far as number of movies goes I should mention that the Gay category has 21 movies and Tranny has 22, those categories probably don't interest most dudes. Subtracting those sections still leaves just under 500 total titles on the site, indeed an impressive number. There seems to be enough videos in each of the 30+ niches with the usual suspects like Hardcore, Teen, Facials, Anal, and Asian having the most to choose from.
Each movie has multiple scenes that range anywhere from 5-60 minutes in length. The vast majority fall into the 15-25 minute range, pretty much what you'd expect from a porn shoot. The single format is WMV although there are several options beyond that. With a site title like download pass these guys better offer downloads, right? Well they do, each movie can be downloaded or streamed with an in-browser player in High, Medium, or Low quality. Every scene is broken into 7 clips and also offered as one big file. For me, even the full scene clips downloaded fairly quickly. Video quality is the one issue that didn't live up to my expectations. While these are good quality, they just don't reach the amazing sharpness level that can be found on some of the other top notch DVD movie sites. Specifically, when the action got going fast, some graininess becomes apparent which is somewhat annoying. Sticklers for crystal clear movies are likely to feel a bit frustrated like I did.
The navigation seems to have all the necessary browsing aids to sift through the database. Highlighted in the right margin are the site's top rated DVDs and scenes (I suppose they go by times viewed, I don't see a rating system). Even when you delve into a specific category, that specific sections top DVDs and scenes will appear in the margin. The other ways to browse include Newest Releases, Complete Listing, By Actor, Most Popular, and By Studio. If I had top point out two things I did not see it would have to be a favorite's list and search function. Even though this is a download site, it would still be nice to have a favorites folder to save scenes you may want to download in the future. As far as a search goes, it's not like the site needs it, but it wouldn't hurt if they added one.
Download Pass offers some leased 3rd party content which is surprising since downloadable movie sites tend not to. For outside material, it's actually not that bad. The stuff is leased from a few other reality and hardcore networks so it might be worthwhile if you haven't seen them before. As far as price goes, these guys have set up a special low price for TheBestPorn surfers - $15/mo. Normally the cost is twice that amount which isn't a horrible deal either since $30 is what several other similar sites like to charge. At the special discounted rate, Download Pass solidifies itself as one of the better choices you can make for movie downloads.

Download Pass is rolling along without any real changes to the site infrastructure. That's okay since it's already a solid DVD download site. The updates continue to and the total number of movies has grown by almost 20% to over 660. While the video quality remains good I stand by the assertion that I made in the initial review that there's room for improvement in this area. The quality isn't quite up to the top notch stuff that a few of the other highly rated DVD download sites have. That being said Download Pass will definitely give you your money's worth for downloadable movies. Just browse the collection before joining and you can clearly see if they have the titles and scenes you're looking for.

Download Pass continues to grow substantially with now triple the number of DVDs it had the last time we did a follow-up review. That's great to see. The updates page shows anywhere from 2-4 new movies added per day recently. Two other navigation improvements are in place as well, namely a keyword search and a very cool pornstar index. The pornstar index has all the girls with pictures and number of scenes plus additional filters of ethnicity, age, hair, boob, weight, and number of scenes. They've also changed the downloading structure so now the movie first open in-browser then from there they can be downloaded as one big file. It seemes they've dumped the clips for downloading. The quality is still an area that's a little lacking with 1000k being the top level but I ran into ones with only 500k available.
Score increased from 90.3 to 90.5.
