Intro

Donnys Girls presents the work of photographer Donovan Phillips where he features young amateur girls in sexy scenes and playful situations. Models are sourced by putting out ads in local college newspapers as well as chance meetings, and etc. $29.95 per month gives users access to over 1,000 image galleries and hundreds of videos with new content showing daily. There is some talk among our trusty Porn Users discussion boards about Donovan Phillips having actually left the business, which leads me to question whether or not these updates are simple content rotations? Sometimes our users know better than even I do, so this is definitely something to consider.

The Pros

Exclusive Amateur Content.

All content is advertised as shot by Donovan Philips. These amateurs girls are indeed unique and it's interesting to see the progression from Donovans first photoshoots to what's being updated today. Clearly his skills have improved. The variety of girls is great, but everything is vanilla at Donny's Girls. The most you're going to find is a little girl-girl action.

Newest Images Look Good.

Image sizing for the newest sets looks great. They're nice & big, and offer really good lighting, color quality, etc. The farther back into the archives you go it's not the same, but there are close to 500 sets that do offer the "super-sized" 1064x1600p format.

Other Good Stuff:

Scene info is provided for many shoots, especially dating back to the earlier days. Donovan does a great job at giving a little information about the girls & how he met them/got them to shoot with him. This hasn't been carried over into the content being shot today, however. As far as date stamps go, this information trailed off October of 2009.
Updates appear to be added daily, although there is some question whether or not content is being rotated.

The Cons

Design, Navigation, User & Download Options Need Work.

The member's area offers a very simple layout, listing the content 50 thumbs at a time on a number of pages. There is a model listing in alphabetical order, and after spending 20 minutes counting the actual # of models I realized girls are listed more than once if they've been shot more than once. You can separate the video content, but other than that there are no categories or other useful browse features.

Download options are minimal. Newest videos are WMV format in 3 quality options. Most will only be interested in the highest quality download, as even those are just average. There are no zip files for the image sets.

There are some inconsistencies in the design too. If you click on some of the older content you are taken to what looks like an older version of the site (although similar). Other clicks went to error pages, and some image thumbs don't show up.

Video Quality is Below Average.

Even the newer scenes only offer bitrates up to 1000k 640x480. Obviously the farther you go into the archives it gets worse. Some improvements could be made to bring newly added video scenes up to todays quality standards.

Minor Negatives:

There is some question as to whether or not this site is still being run by Donovan Philips. I've read word that he has left the business some time ago.
Older image sizing and quality is not the best. This is to be expected for a site like this, but worth mentioning just the same.

Bottom Line

A sizable collection of amateurs but personality has dropped off a bit.

I have mixed feelings about this site. While it was probably a great site for users who love true amateur content at one time, it stands now as a mere content site that's lost some of its personality. Older sets at least offered scene/model info, but now you get nothing. The newest images do look great, but the videos altogether need some work. This is a decent sized collection of content, but the site shows its age and I'm not sure the $30 price tag is worth what's here.
