This is the online home of Digital Playground featuring hardcore action in a mix of photo gallery and movie content. The guest tour is pretty cutting edge with in-browser video samples along with an intro movie which highlights what they're selling. This studio has a group of sexy pro models under their umbrella and their library of content is what this site is built upon.

The Goods:

- Digital Playground Pic/Vid Collection. The collection here covers all areas that a general hardcore site should with all sorts of niches represented. Both the photo galleries and videos revolve around hardcore shoots although there is definitely a good amount of solo performances as well.

- Sharp Professional Style Design. The design here is one thing that stands out. Both the guest tour and member's area are well done with a set-up that's worthy of a company like Digital Playground. Search features include the ability to filter by performer, keyword/niche, or series title. Also more general movie and photo sections are available for browsing plus a DP Girls model index is another feature.

- Virtual TV & Behind-the-Scenes Features. The virtual TV is an instant loading in-browser video viewing system that lets members jump around the collection quickly. Behind-the-scenes is another dedicated section that adds another dimension to the content. Not a lot of movie sites put together sections like this so it is a bit different.

The Bads:

- In-Browser Flash Video Format. The movie formatting here is a definite negative simply due to the lack of downloads. In-browser Flash is the format they've chosen to go with. Nowadays surfers expect downloads and whenever a video site skips that option is clearly hurts and is very noticeable. There's room for more picture options too as there is only one pic quality and no zip files available.

- More Pic Galleries Than Videos. Based on the design and this company it seems to me the foundation of the content is the movies. For some reason they have a significantly larger number of picture galleries than movies. They have a ways to go before they could be considered a huge source of movies.

- Slowish Movie Update Pace. This kind of goes hand-in-hand with my previous point about the amount of movies. A "Coming Soon" update list shows that they update movies once per week and photo galleries every day. This type of site should be adding new movies at least three times a week.

Conclusion:

Digital Playground has some clear positives and negatives. They have clearly taken time to develop a stylish design and come up with the creative Virtual TV features. On the flip side the value is hurt by lack of downloadable video files and the overall number of movies was lower than I expected.
