Desi Papa is an all Indian DVD movie site with downloadable videos. They've been around for many years and TBP has published official reviews and follow-ups in the past. This is a full re-review of what they have to offer since it's time for a fresh analysis. The overall concept of Desi is straightforward as they are first and foremost an Indian niche site that sticks entirely to movie downloads for its content. The titles come from a mix of sources and the collection is made up of a wide range of non-exclusive movies.
The Goods:
- Indian Movie Content, 100s of Videos. The strength of Desi Papa revolves around the fact that they have hundreds of downloadable movies all of which are Indian in nature. Over time they've steadily built up a reasonably sized database of titles and they have them listed by year in the member's area.
- Solo, Boy/Girl, Girl/Girl, & Fetishes. Scrolling through the collection the variety is one aspect that jumps out as a positive. The titles do come from a mix of production companies and they cover everything from solo girl stripping/masturbation to hardcore banging. Some more targeted fetish vids can be found to with things like groupsex, voyeur, creampies, hairy, bdsm, etc.
The Bads:
- Average & Varying Vid Quality/Options. The blending of the Indian and downloadable DVD niches is what makes Desi Papa interesting but they come up short in terms of video formatting. The quality has improved over time and newer additions have full-scene clips that look decent. Things fall apart quickly as you head into the archives. The quality is unimpressive and most vids are presented in short clips. There aren't any options available for members to choose from.
- Basic Navigation, No Tools or Categories. The basic setup is the movies listed by year. Beyond that no tools, categorization, or browsing options are offered. Movies prior to 2006 are on "Archive" pages which are outdated and look different from the rest of the site. The individual movie pages do list the performers but they're not clickable and no way to find related scenes.
- No Update Details, Few Movie Specs/Details. Desi keeps things very broad in terms of update information. They don't go into any more detail than listing the movies by year. The movie pages include the running time in minutes and then some of the vids have the vid file size in MB too (although not enough movies have this info on the clips).
Conclusion:
Desi Papa does have hundreds of downloadable DVD movies that sticks 100% to Indian content. It's a well established site and have a clear track record of adding new stuff year after year. On the flip side they don't really seem to be striving to make the video options or navigation more user-friendly. Those characteristics are of key importance to movie download sites and they're the items that hold Desi Papa back.
