I always go into reviews of celebrity sites with the lowest of expectations. Many of them are run by sleazy companies that sell you on "Britney Spears hardcore" or some crap like that and then offer some stupid faked pictures and some generic hardcore porn feeds. But every once in a while I get pleasantly surprised and this is one of those cases. Even though I don't know what the hell the title "DAINEWS" means or stands for, I still consider this one of the select few celeb sites that is worth your money. It offers lots of content, constant updates, and convenient billing choices.
First things first - the content. Before even entering the member's area I already liked the statements I saw on the homepage. This guy (the site is managed by one guy) makes no bones about where his content comes from. The pictures are grabbed from public news servers or uploaded by members. He also says up front that there are some crappy pics that go along with the good ones. In other words no over-the-top promises are made. The funny thing is there's so much good content in here, this is one site that could rightfully make promises and deliver on them! Instead the site just lays out the facts (as of 1/13/04): 11,472 celebs, 265,092 total pics, 58,009 nude pics, 224 avg pics added per day. My assessment is you'll find every celeb you want to and there'll probably be some incredibly kick-ass pics along with the standard movie screen cap stuff. I was looking at popular actresses and some of the pics I viewed were at 800x1024 and larger. A few were so huge I had to use my scroll bar to see her body. To be honest, I have never seen a collection with so many large and sharp celeb pics. As is to be expected the majority of content is drawn from movies, TV, public appearances, awards shows, magazines shoots, and paparazzi snapshots.
The site layout is simple but it's cleverly done so finding what you want in this sea of content is no problem at all. In addition to browsing and searching the database by first and last name, members can set options to filter out any content you don't want to see. Filtering includes: picture quality, nudity level, and date added. Each picture has a quality and nudity rating (1-5 scales) and members are allowed to suggest changes to any pic if they think any are needed. Two other helpful pages include "newest picture additions" and "top 100 most popular celebs". I really think the navigation works well even though you won't be blown away with any sharp graphics or slick design.
You have to know before joining, DAINEWS is limited by the body of work any celeb has done. That's the biggest drawback to this site (along with the fact that there are no videos). If your favorite star never does nude work, these guys won't be able to supply you with naked pics of her. There isn't any cutting and pasting actress's heads onto pornstar bodies. You'll have to settle for her looking sexy in clothes just like you always have. On a final note, the price is really worth talking about because the choices are great. They are: 1 week $3.95, 2 weeks $5.95, or 1 month $9.95. There's no recurring billing, but instead members can buy more time if they desire. A time clock tells you how much time is left in your subscription. Talk about going against the grain. Most paysites desperately try to hide your subscription date in an attempt to trick you into rebilling each month. From what I see DAINEWS runs their site the way it ought to be done.

I was familiar with DAINEWS for a long time even before we wrote our initial review. That is several years’ worth of time and the site has looked the same for that entire time. They just stick with what works for them which is to continually update with more pictures of more female celebrities. Even though much of the content is non-nude the picture quality still goes a long way to make up for that drawback. DAINEWS remains near or at the top of my list when it comes to high quality celebrity pictures. The amount of content available was already staggering and it only continues to grow with frequent additions. The one negative that still remains is the complete lack of videos; you'll have to hit up other celeb sites if movies are your thing. These scores have changed: Quality +0.5, Design +0.5, and Curve -1.
