| Follow-Up Review(s): |
|
1. 300,000+ sites for 1 low yearly price.
2. Good amount of site variety.
1. A very basic site directory lacking user-friendly features.
2. Must upgrade membership for the platinum sites.
3. Most sites are very poorly designed/lacking quality.
4. Must log-in separately for every new site visited.

Normally we don't do re-reviews so soon a site, but it's been over 3 years since our last look inside the Cyber Age AVS member's area, so it's high-time we take a lengthy look inside to see what's changed. On our last visit, I don't think I was all that impressed with the actual sites offered, but there's so many of them it's hard to complain considering the price, which doesn't seem to have changed too much. The number of sites offered (300,000+) seems to be the same as well. So what has changed? Let's take a look...
The Good:
- Hundreds and thousands of sites, all for one price. That can't be half bad, now can it? It's hard to say what kind of standards they set for participating sites, and you won't find any consistency, but you will find tons of content with an emphasis on amateurs, fetishes, girls old and young, etc. There are more than 55+ categories of sites to choose from.
- Searching by category shows all sites listed and whether they are: platinum, preferred, participating, gay, or new. I couldn't find updated info on the difference between these site types, but here is what I have outlined from my initial review:
Participating CyberAge Sites:
Minimum # of images- 30
Movie Sites: Minimum # of Movies/Pictures- 20/10
Story Sites: Minimum # of Stories/Pictures- 20/10
# of Banners Allowed- 3
Pop-ups- None
Update Requirements- None
Preferred CyberAge Sites:
Minimum # of images- 50
Movie Sites: Minimum # of Movies/Pictures- 30/20
Story Sites: Minimum # of Stories/Pictures- 20/20
# of Banners Allowed- 2
Pop-ups- None
Update Requirements- None
Platinum CyberAge Sites:
Minimum # of images- 200
Movie Sites: Minimum # of Movies/Pictures- 100/100
Story Sites: Minimum # of Stories/Pictures- 100/100
# of Banners Allowed- 5
Pop-ups- None
Update Requirements- Once every 2 months
The Bad:
- Inconsistent and poor designs. The most basic of CyberAge sites, and even a lot of the preferred ones, aren't the most well designed sites on the Internet and the content they contain is often equally as scary. I thought these sites were bad 3 years ago, but now they're unbearably bad! With so many quality and inexpensive offerings available, its high time Cyberage stepped things up a notch.
- Even the main member’s hub still needs a refresh in design, and they obviously haven't read my wish list for more user features like user ratings/comments, most recently updated sites, or even a favorites list for once they've found a site worth coming back to. All would help improve the overall experience of browsing all 300,000+ sites. If this really is the biggest AVS of sites, proper design and navigational features really should be implemented to reinforce that.
- Content quality is just about all around poor and nowhere near what today's standards are requiring.
The Conclusion:
The main, and probably the only draw to a basic CyberAge membership for me, would be for the sheer number of sites that you gain access to for such a small price; I mean, anyone can afford $19.95 in exchange for access to something for a whole year! But the real question at this point, is it worth it? 3+ years ago it might have been, but I Think now I've set my sites on higher things. The design and quality of sites that Cyberage was offering way back when was barely passable, and now it's just unfortunate. In general I would have to say that this is not your best bet when it comes to the overall quality of sites for an AVS, but the numbers suggest that it is definitely one of the largest, but that doesn't always equate to a better bang for your buck.
