Cyberage.com is an adult verification service (AVS) that has been impressing surfers with its massive collection of sites since 1998. By offering surfers millions of pictures in hundreds of thousands of sites for a low yearly fee, Cyberage has become one of the largest AVS's online and in all likelihood you yourself have probably happened upon a participating site at some point in your porn travels.
The Goods –
There is a massive amount of content here. They’ve got over 300,000 sites listed offering millions and millions of photos. They really do have a monster listing of sites. You'll find them divided into 55 categories, from nudists to "India Women" and gothic to gay, there is a whole lot of everything here. If you like variety in your porn you've come to the right place.
The price is very reasonable. Membership is just $20 for an entire year! You also get a “free” trial to their Platinum membership for 7 days (just keep in mind that this will recur if you don’t cancel it and you’ll be charged $20 a month).
Getting around isn’t too hard. Their main site lets you search by category and keyword. You can also jump right to the newest sites. Sites are also separated by level (Participating, Preferred, Platinum) so you can keep to whatever your level of subscription is. Also, while you do have to enter your password for each site, they make it very easy by only requiring a password (no username) and putting the log-in box right on the top of the page (when you access the sites from Cyber Age’s main page).
The Bads –
Content quality varies and it can get pretty bad. We’re talking small photos (600x400) and barely average videos that are overcompressed to save on bandwidth. Even the Platinum sites, which are supposedly the cream of the crop left me disappointed overall. Sure, there are some exceptions but overall quality is sacrificed for quantity here.
The design and navigation of the sites usually leaves much to be desired. Though Cyber Age insists that sites be easy to navigate and that they not include any blind links, a few still slip through the cracks. Designs are usually very basic and are usually sporting several banners and ads on every page. The webmasters of the sites in the network will take every opportunity possible to upsell you and direct you to other sites to make money.
There’s no personality here. At times, it felt like the sites were nothing more than dumping grounds for cheap content. There is no originality and very little effort put into creating something interesting or good quality.
Conclusion –
Overall, I think Cyber Age is a site past its prime. I don’t think there are too many savvy surfers out there who are willing to pay money, however little, for content like this. I could see a newbie be blown away by the truly massive collection and want to join, but there are plenty of sites out there offering huge collections of better quality content. Maybe they only have 1 million pictures instead of 10 million, but does it matter? Quality counts for something and I missed it too much on Cyber Age.
