"CyberAge is still going, but it's a remnant from the early days of internet porn." |

CyberAge is a traditional AVS service that has been online for years and years. They're well established and are one of the oldest AVS services that I know of. They have a ton of sites included in the network and the way they have the tour set up it's possible for guests to browse the collection of standard and platinum sites to see that's offered. Nowadays most AVS services are focused on video/movie content but CyberAge is a classic AVS in the truest sense of the term with picture content featured on most of the participating sites.
The Goods:
- Tons of Sites, Lots of Overall Content. For AVS services this is always the #1 selling point. CyberAge does indeed have an unbelievable number of sites under its umbrella and therefore there is a whole lot of porn offered tot members. The basic membership gives access to 'Preferred' sites of which there are a lot and 'Platinum' membership gives more sites that are required to contain more content.
- Detailed Category/Niche Breakdown. The main navigation feature is a list of niches on the left margin of the site. The breakdown is really detailed with all the popular niches shown plus very small micro-niches like Body Builders, Gothic, Swingers, etc. The other main browsing function is a keyword search.
The Bads:
- Lots of Sites With Bland/Outdated Content. If the main asset of CyberAge is having a lot of content then this is the flip side of that coin. So many of the sites have just a handful of galleries or contain material that is old or uninteresting. Picture galleries are most of what available even in sites I found while browsing the "Hot Videos" category. What the offer just isn't competitive with quality paysites nowadays.
- No Update Specifics for 'New Sites'. There is a new sites section in the directory but beyond a red "N" tag there isn't any specific information offered. Update information on the CyberAge main site or the participating sites is basically non-existent.
- Required 'Platinum' Trial Membership. Basic membership is pretty cheap and is on a yearly basis. However, no matter what option is selected there is a platinum trial attached which recurs monthly. By not offering simple basic and/or platinum options they put the onus on all surfers to remember to cancel their trials.
- Average Design & Navigation. Aside from the niche category breakdown the site organization is not very user-friendly. Again I go back to the "Hot Videos" category which has a ton of hentai sites listed. Each site listing only has a title and one word description. The descriptions aren't helpful as they seem like sales pitch lines written by the participating site owner. Rarely are they applicable to what the site actually offers.
Conclusion:
I've worked in this industry for many years and CyberAge takes me back to the 90's. They've stuck to their system for that long and I'm astonished that they haven't taken steps to update their concept and content. Compared to the movie sites that currently exist (including video AVS's) the value of this site has become diminished. Even though the raw number of content are impressive it's frustrating that most of it is uninteresting.
