Crystal Klein is a Penthouse Pet which, to me, generally means two things: she'll be very hot and not do boy/girl. I'm right on both counts as Crystal is definitely a babe and her site features her in solo and girl/girl shoots. For those of you unfamiliar with Crystal (like me) there's an easy to find "My Bio" link with a good write-up.
The Goods:
- Varied Photo & Video Collection. The photo gallery section is broken up into these sections: Glamour, Amateur, Girl/Girl, and Candids. Those cover pretty much all the bases I expected and wanted to see from a model like Crystal. A real-life section like candids is something many official sites leave off so I'm glad Crystal includes some of those galleries. The videos section isn't categorized but it's not overly large so it probably doesn’t require being broken into sections. The action in the vids has solo posing, masturbation, girl/girl, and some misc stuff like an interview, outdoor shoots, etc.
- Some Diary & Chat Interaction. The diary is part of the message board system where Crystal writes entries and responds to content and site feedback. I should point out that sometimes the admin or webmaster responds to member posts instead of Crystal. The webcam chat is a good feature for a site like this but I will make a negative point about that in my "Bads" section.
- Low Monthly Price. Just about all similar official sites of models or pornstars charge more than Crystal so she's made a really good decision to keep the price low. I'm sure Crystal’s fans will appreciate that.
The Bads:
- QT is Main Video Format. There are decent quality WMV files for each movie although QT has both High and Low quality levels. I wish they'd flip-flop that and offer choices on the WMV format. On a similar note I also ran across a member who posted a request asking for super hi-resolution videos so apparently there are a couple things Crystal could do to enhance her video collection.
- No Calendar of Chats or Appearances. This caught my eye since her next webcam chat appearance has a date posted that's over a month in the past. There's no way to tell if she does regular chats or what. I browsed the message board looking for this in case it was there but I couldn't locate any detailed info on this. A full calendar of appearances, events, what she's working on, and chats would help out a lot here.
Conclusion:
For an official site of an individual model Crystal covers most of the areas that you'd want to see. To me things like behind-the-scenes stuff and interaction is just as important for fans joining an official site as the base collection of studio galleries and videos. Crystal has the foundation of the interaction in place with a diary, message board, and chats but in my follow-up I'll be looking for more consistent activity in those areas.
