ColorClimax.com is the website of "the first, the biggest, the most pornographic" European adult magazine. Since 1967 (even before such porn was legal), Color Climax has been producing hardcore porn out of their Denmark studios. They've stayed true to their roots, still shooting on 35mm and scanning the images for the website. The site is very attractive and professionally designed, complete with flash tour. I'm sure Color Climax's longtime fans were pleased to see such a smooth transition from page to internet.
I was completely unfamiliar with Color Climax but with the clean design, navigation was quite easy. The pictures are divided into three sections, Studios, Signature and Archives. Studios features several hundred galleries divided into eight categories. Signature features the work of five of their most popular stars. Archives features the most popular sets from the last 30 years. No matter what section you're in, you'll find the photo layout to be pretty similar. Each gallery has around 20 photos displayed with a very sexy story line. I really wish they included more than 20 photos. They say they take up to 1,500 pics in a single photo shoot and only publish the 20 best. I understand how this is necessary for a magazine with limited publishing space however it would be nice if they included additional photos on the website. With almost 1,000 galleries currently online the photo count could really be huge, not that it isn't respectable at approximately 15,000 but the possibility for growth is there. As expected, photo quality is very good. All of the pictures are quite sharp and full of color (especially considering how old some of them are). They're around 600x900 in size which is better than average. And are they ever hardcore! They're usually already naked and having oral sex in the first picture! From there it's sex and a money shot. You'll find different combos of models, two girls and a guy, two guys and a girl, just two girls, etc. My only realy complaint is that it feels very '70s. Now, this may not be a complaint for some of you. Perhaps you really dig vintage porn or maybe it reminds you of the crazy bushy women you did in the '70s. But for me, it's a little distracting. The hair is just a tad to big, the girls just a bit too hairy, the themes (disco) just too before my time. I enjoyed their newer galleries much more.
Heading over to the Theatre you'll find Color Climax's video collection. There are 93 videos currently available, each about eight minutes long. There is both a streaming and a download option. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the streaming video. If you download the movie it plays in Quicktime and also looks quite good. The movies all have a bit of a dated feel to them and I was disappointed to see that all of them were in Danish. Not that the dialogue really matters, though. The videos are just as hardcore as the photos. There is a definite emphasis on watersports. I wasn't really paying attention to what I clicked on and soon found myself watching a woman pee all over some dude's face shouting something about liebe pisser! Everything is clearly marked (from Disco Gangbang to Stuffed Arseholes) so pay attention or else you'll find yourself faced with Piss & Champagne.
Color Climax also features the photos and videos of other respected producers. By clicking on Exposed, you'll find large galleries from guest photographers. They don't say who the photographers are but the photos look damn good! They are excellent quality and really a great addition to the site. Heading back to the Theatre, the large Hustler movie archive is available. This is definitely some of the best third party content I have seen.
ColorClimax's 36+ year committment to producing quality hardcore porn clearly pays off for ColorClimax.com. The design is great, the collection impressive, the quality excellent, and even the bonus features top notch. My complaints of retro material and Danish dialogue are really just a matter of personal taste (and linguistic skills). Certainly my preferences won't apply to everyone. I do feel the site is a bit overpriced at $30 a month but then again they do update every weekday with exclusive photos and videos so perhaps it's not too off base. Either way, for fans of real hardcore porn ColorClimax is more than worth a visit.

Coming back to ColorClimax after nearly a year, I was very pleased to see them continuing with a near daily update schedule of quality Danish hardcore porn. Their collection of photo galleries has grown to over 1,000 and their number of videos has swelled from 93 to 238. I originally said there was both an option to stream and download the video but either I was mistaken then or they've removed it because video is now streaming only. It does look to me like they've increased the size of the images. In my initial review I commented that most of the pictures were around 600x900 in size. Many of their newest galleries now include images sized at 724x1024, a nice improvement. Though there is still room for upgrades (downloadable video would be nice), I have to say ColorClimax is definitely a quality site. I'm changing a couple scores but my overall total remains the same. It may be a little different than what you're used to, but the attractive (though retro) content certainly makes the site worth a look!

Color Climax has continued to grow and impress since our last visit a year and a half ago. It's tough to get an exact count of their content, but with consitant daily updates (and sometimes multiple daily updates) you can bet their collection is bigger than ever. The most exciting change, however, is that the videos are now downloadable. At our last visit they were streaming only so this is a big upgrade. This year they're celebrating their 40th anniversary as a publishing company and their 10th anniversary on the web so they're obviously doing a lot right. For kinky Danish porn, Color Climax is the place to be.
