Intro

Club stroke is a gay niche site that specifically zeros in on solo guy masturbation. Essentially this is a video and photo gallery site however they do go beyond that a bit with interview videos and written 'masturbation bios' from the models. From the guest tour I initially got the impression that things might be leaning more towards some community features but the member's area is actually fairly straightforward and in line with what you'd expect from a paysite with video and photo sections being the main focus of things.

The Pros

Solo Guy Masturbation Shoots, Interviews & Written Bios.

Club Stroke does stay true to their masturbation theme in both the videos and pictures. There are about four dozen models with a good mix in terms of body types and ethnicity. They seem to all be in their 20's with a few in their 30's and each guy has videos, photo sets, and a bio including a masturbation questionnaire. Interview videos are also included which adds another element to the shoots.

Nice Vid/Pic Quality, Full Scene MP4/WMV Files & Gallery Zips.

Content quality is pretty strong with videos being available in downloadable MP4 and WMV formats along with in-browser QT streaming and a portable M4V download. The MP4 is the highest quality with specs around 3200k 720x480 and WMV isn't far off at 2600k 720x480. Photo options include high-resolution at about 2800x1880 plus a more standard level of about 1355x850. Zip files have both levels available. I was pretty impressed with the set-up and based on an announcement in the member's area it seems they did an upgrade to these options not too long ago which was a good move.

Other Good Stuff:

Update details is posted on the content items and they have an archive going back a few years. A 'Calendar' has info on upcoming additions.
Download speeds were pretty good as I was getting around 800KB/sec thru my browser. My download manager (software: IDM) also worked well and sped things up further.

The Cons

Average Amount of Content, Site Has Been Around a While.

With the content items being date-stamped I noted that they go back to late 2006 with things really getting going in '07. Based on that there really is a smallish amount of content here. There are just over one hundred video scenes and fewer photo galleries than that. They definitely do rely on the specialty masturbation nature of the content as the main selling point rather than quantity.

Update Pace is Fairly Slow, Some Gaps Without Additions.

There doesn't seem to be any set update schedule. At the time of this review in early 2011 they are going all right with a couple new additions per week. Looking at the date info on the content they have had gaps of a couple weeks to several months in different content s sections before. This inconsistency obviously has impacted the total amount of content on the site.

Minor Negatives:

Upon opening a model's content page the in-browser QT stream always starts playing which gets a little annoying when you're just looking for the download links.
The downloadable movie files and photo gallery zips do not have any file size information posted.

The other

Additional content includes erotic stories and member submitted photos and videos plus chat/forums on another URL: WhisperingLily.com.

Bottom Line

Solo guy masturbation/interview shoots with a pretty good mix of models.

To me what stood out most was that even though Club Stroke doesn't have a big content archive they do have a good mix of guys in terms of body types and ethnicity. Each guy does have both video and photo content which works well and the viewing/downloading/quality choices are solid. Since the site has been a going concern for over a few years I expected a larger collection but they seem to have had some periodic update gaps which held that back a bit.
