In the past we've already done an extensive review of Jenna Jameson's flagship site Club Jenna, and at least 3 follow-ups have been completed since, both before and after it became a part of Playboy. Our first look was back in 2003, so it's been almost 5 years and clearly a lot has changed. Doing a re-review should give a fresh and up to date perspective on what you can expect from this Pornstar gone corporate/mainstream mega site. For starters, Club Jenna is now a part of, and probably the flagship site of the Club Jenna Mega Stars Network. This is the main hub for the member's area that you will see upon first entry. The overwhelming look of the tour is carried over into both the hub and Club Jenna's site. At this point you can find more than 111,000+ Jenna images and 140+ video clips, as well as all the extras, bonus content and Network sites for the specially reduced price of less than $20 bucks per month. That's a steal for so much content!
The Good:
- Your one-stop-shop for everything Jenna Jameson. A membership to Club Jenna includes access to all of her photo & video content, personal advice & diary entries, chat, news friend’s pages and more. Jenna may have "retired" from the adult industry, but many areas of her site are still going strong. You will find everything from sexy poses, nude photos & glamour videos, appearances, fetish, personal and hardcore content.
- Network access with tons of extra & bonus content. Access to Club Jenna comes with plenty of extras. Club Jenna sites included are: Briana Banks, Krystal Steal, Stormy Daniels, etc.
- Reduced monthly membership price given to TBP users. $19.95 per month is one kick ass price for so much quality pornstar content. This is a savings of $15 bucks per month and quite a bargain.
- Full-length DVD scene content. Many of Jenna's DVDs can be found here, as well as appearances, behind the scenes content, video diary's and more.
The Bad:
- A lot of dated content. Even though updates are still being added sporadically, much of what you'll see here is archived content, most of which is dated material or not even actual Jenna Jameson content, but "friends" of Jenna content.
- No actual interaction with Jenna. In fact, no diary update has been added since Feb. 2008, and even this it was simply to plug her appearance on The Howard Stern Show. Before that updates were far and few, averaging 1-2 or less per month. Club Jenna Chats haven't been going on since the beginnings of her site back in 2003.
- Site design looks cluttered and doesn't offer very many viewing/browse or download options. There's no doubt there is room for improvement in these areas. The main menu itself does a pretty good job at attempting to organize the content, but beyond that the site design takes a turn towards amateur style. Member's area ads are also an issue.
- No downloads. Video is in-browser stream only without any other options.
- Quality can be inconsistent and below average at times. Since content is grouped together and resourced from so many different places, the image size and video picture quality can range from below average to pretty good, but never spectacular.
The Conclusion:
Club Jenna remains your main option for everything Jenna, plus more. An ongoing gripe of mine has been the lack of actual interaction and participation of Jenna herself, but it's not surprising really. And in the end there is an awful lot of content being offered, mostly archives and miscellaneous, but the reduced membership price for TBP users makes a join worth the monies spent, just as long as you're privy to the lack of actual involvement from Jenna herself. Jenna Jameson fans will enjoy surfing the archives, and hopefully all of the bonus pornstar material as well. As for me, well, I have to admit I have mixed feelings about the actual quality of the site in general. Compared to other paysites, there is still plenty of room for improvement all around, even if Jenna is no longer involved with the site.
