Just when you thought you've seen all the celebrity sites there are to be seen...here comes another one. Celebs13.com is not necessarily a new one onto the scene, but it's a new one to us. $29.99 per month gives access to more than 1 million+ images, 10,500+ videos and lots & lots of extras. Unfortunately what you get in quantity is not matched in terms of quality, but such is almost always the case in terms of these celebrity sites, with few exceptions. On the bright side, large daily updates can be expected and many a celebrity boobs abound inside, so let's take a look...
The Good:
- Enormous archive of content. So many pictures and videos, probably too many to count. Thankfully they do that for you and claim to offer more than 1 million images and 10,000+ videos, and I don't doubt it.
- Multiple daily updates. Each day something like 80+ new celebrity photos are updated 10-13+ new video clips. You may not know all the names of people being added, but many well-known names are noticeable daily.
- Celebrities are listed by name in alphabetical order. It's not the easiest to get around, but once you find someone you're interested in, their profile page lists their whole collection of content, although I believe video clips are listed separately.
- Some good quality content. Many of the new images are nice-sized, almost huge and look pretty good, although this varies some. Video clips can look good too. Some are widescreen and most are AVI files that end up looking nice.
The Bad:
- Basic site design. In fact it's so basic it really makes you feel a little ripped off considering the $30/month price tag. There are no advanced browse or search features. The video section is especially difficult to browse.
- No celebrity sex tapes, which I think is misleading considering they claim they do in the tour. At least I didn't find any, but then again, lack of specific categories, browse/search options does make it tough.
- Quality can vary, and quite a bit. Some images are simple screen caps, and video picture quality doesn't always look so great.
The Conclusion:
To be honest I didn't have the biggest expectations for this celebrity site, so I can't say it was really disappointing, but I don't think for a minute I'd consider spending almost $30 bucks per month for a membership. Some of the content quality was actually pretty nice, but the layout and design of the site left a lot to be desired. Not to mention the basic organization and lack of anything so incredibly different than what most people can find by simply Google-ing a celebrity by name. Unfortunately yet again this is a celebrity site that fails to impress, but certainly the archive size is something to behold.
