Celebrity Collector is up for review today, and it's pretty much as expected here for a celeb site. They seem to focus more on candid/paparazzi photos of the celebs from what I can tell. They'll throw in a movie clip here, or a magazine photo there, but they're definitely not in the majority. Because of that, there's a lot of non-nude (but sexy) content here, and you'll get lots of things like hard nipples through shirts, camel toe, cleavage, and more. There's only one join option, and it's pretty cheap at a $3 trial for three days, then just $10 a month from there on out.
The Pros
Tons of content up.
As with most celebrity sites, there's a lot of content here. I think our people had to guess, but they put them at around 150,000 photos and around 10,000 videos. It's really tough to get a good count here, but their guess is as good as mine. There's lots to see, okay?
Great price.
The low price really helps out here. There's not many sites you can get into for under $10 a month, so I think it's a good find in that respect.
The Cons
Search still needs some work.
It looks like their search box has been revamped, but I have some issues with it. First, the auto-complete takes a little while to show up, and I didn't even know it was there for 10 minutes. Then you're stuck guessing on the spelling of a certain celebrity's name, which never goes well. Second, when you do see the auto-complete, you can't even read the links on the purple background at all. The thumbs help, but they slow things down as well.
Design features make site feel slow.
The way the site is structured, with what seems like javascript transitions and all, makes the site feel a bit slow to respond. Everything takes a couple seconds, even on a quick computer here.
No video downloads.
All the videos have been transitioned to streaming video only, so there are no downloads. Plus, the streaming isn't even a slick Flash player, so I just wasn't too excited with the videos here overall for now.
Needs better navigation options.
The navigation really needs to be beefed up here. They have a few different ways to narrow things down (by nudity level, or by date), but mostly you're stuck coming up with the celeb's name on your own. I'd like some more ways to browse the models here, as well as more search features of course.
Minor Negatives:
The site left my browser in shambles by the end. First, I couldn't login in Firefox at all. IE worked, but I had random issues. Some videos wouldn't work and seemed to hang my browser. Other times, menus wouldn't disappear after trying to save an image. I think the heavy use of javascript just makes things too complicated here.
There's lots of non-nude content because of the tyep of material they offer.
The updates aren't dated here, so you have no independent way to verify when new material is added (the webmaster says they update daily though!).
Bottom Line
Not bad with the low price, but not my favorite site overall.
The $10 price tag helps take the edge off right away, and there is a lot to see here at Celebrity Collector. With the candid shots they provide, it may be different material than you've seen of these girls before, which is another benefit. However, the site itself just doesn't sit right with me. It's too complicated for what it needs to be, and they're missing features that I think could help a lot more (video downloads, browse/search options, etc.). The site just never felt solid for me, and it was too hard to find new content I may not know I'd be interested in.
