Intro

CathyBarry.com is the official site of British porn star...you guessed it...Cathy Barry. If you've never heard of this hot brunette, British babe like I haven't, well then don%u2019t hesitate to check out her Biography page, Agony Aunt Q&A, Diary page and more in her tour. I found the site design a little too busy for my taste but overall things weren't too hard to locate. Unfortunately content count hasn't moved much since our last review in 2006. Currently there are over 23,000 images and 58 lengthy videos as well as live cam shows, wallpapers, archived galleries, friends' galleries, and more for $35.00 per month; a good even number and I like that although the price does seem a little high considering the lack of high quality content and download options inside.

The Pros

Original & Entertaining Content.

The action in the content is quite nice and you'll find Cathy getting real close & personal with both male and female counterparts. Also featured is toy play and solo scenes, 2 girl blowjobs, 3somes, pussy licking, interracial, toe sucking, foot worshiping, and more.

For the videos, I really loved the close-ups of girl-girl pussy licking, cock sucking and fuck scenes, but in all honesty, the clips were too short to really get much excitement from them.

Decent Sized Collection of Photo & Video Content.

Although its not huge, there are over 310 photosets and close to 60 videos to check out. She also used to be very active with her site/members. Some of the archived content includes diary entries, forum entries, Q&A, stories, her scrapbook, etc.

Other Good Stuff:

Flash streams for videos & ZIPs for the image sets.

The Cons

Site Design & Navigation Dated & Needs Work.

You'll be disappointed, but not surprised, to find that the design of the tour carries over into the member's area. Image galleries are simply numbered and listed in order. There are no content categories, tags, descriptions or anything else to aid in browsing. Videos are listed just the same with text links to the clips and no option for a full-length stream. They are simply titled and offer no scene info. Overall this is a very cluttered site with misleading links and directories, up-sells and ads.

Videos Are Stream-Only!

For a site that no longer updates, is poorly designed and doesn't have the best quality content, you'd think they'd at least let you leave with a parting gift in the form of full-length video downloads! But no, these short scenes are stream-only and you can't even jump ahead like you can with most Flash files.

Quality is Below Average/Dated.

At one time maybe these 1024x683 pixel images and 1500k streams looked good, but at this point sizing is too small and the video picture quality is pixilated and just not sharp enough to stand up to todays' standards.

No Longer Updating.

Although they show date stamps in the tour, it's extremely clear that nothing new has been added here in quite some time. Cathy hasn't updated her diary, her blog goes to a 404 error page, quality is dated, the last live webcam show was back in 2008; you get the idea.

Minor Negatives:

A few misleading links, including the one for latest updates, took me to an up-sell page. Ads and up-sells in the member's area are misleading.

Bottom Line

A dated archive of Cathy Barry content & one you won't regret passing on.

Back during our initial review in 2006 I thought they had a long way to go here when it came to browsing the image galleries (categories would be great), viewing them image sets themselves (making it easier to skip from page to page), you get the idea. And well since nothing has changed since then, these thoughts remain the same...but I'm no longer hopeful. At least allow users to download the videos. With such great action going on, you really think she'd want to showcase these babies off better! At one time I thought Cathy could do a lot with her site. She was actively involved and seemed ready to please. Unfortunately it's clear she's given up the pornstar life for something else, but it begs the question to why she'd increase the price from $20 to $35/per month for a dated site that no longer updates?
