Where does one even begin when reviewing a site like Carol Cox's? She's been around such a long time, and has amassed such a huge amount of stuff in her member's area, that it's going to be impossible to talk about it all. Carol, who bills herself as the "original internet amateur," started her site way back in 1994, before most people had ever been on the internet. She's very into swinging, and basically anything to do with sex, and resides up in Montreal, Canada. I think I mentioned this in a previous review, but I'm convinced they put some kind of sex crack in the water up there to get people so horny.
Her site, again, is huge. Thankfully it looks different than it used to. I remember it from a few years back, when they had a much older design up, and it was just getting extremely cluttered with everything they stuff in there. The site has a cleaner look and feel now, which helps things out a bit. It's still pretty easy to get lost, but is that so bad?
Her galleries are set up a little differently than a lot of amateur sites. She has many, many categories to choose from, so jump right in with something that sounds good. She has content of herself, as well as other amateurs and couples available. Most of the time it's of her with others doing all kinds of debauchery. I missed the standard "these are my latest sets" layout, but I guess she just has too much to do it this way. Each section has a different feel to it, so don't get too attached to one certain way of doing things.
The pictures vary as much as you'd expect. There are some very old pictures on the site, and they show it. There's also some newer stuff available, but most of the sets fall somewhere in the middle. I hate to label the sets, as there is so much diversity, but overall there's just a feeling of typical amateur pictures available here. A good median picture size would be 800x600, but don't take that number too seriously. Quality was what you'd expect from a collection of pictures that spans an entire decade.
I saw this in the photo section as well, but some of the links in the video section just go to empty pages sometimes. I'm sure it's difficult keeping up with everything, but it got a bit annoying trying to get to Carol's Candid videos. Once I got to that page, I couldn't get a single video to load for the life of me. On other pages, I had the same problem. The ONLY videos that worked were if they had a "downloadable" link, which worked just fine. That's the video I'll be talking about in the review.
Here we've got decent-looking video at 320x240, around 350kbps. The audio was hit or miss, but the video generally looked like decent amateur stuff, much like the photos. Other videos I watched got up into 400+kbps range, but it was all pretty similar. The only problem came in when lighting wasn't as plentiful, but that wasn't a huge issue.
She's apparently on three cam networks you can check out (along with the other girls the networks have). There's also a ton of extra links to check out. The forum link went to the Wild Rose Network homepage, which was odd. There's a link to a forum there, which was surprisingly less busy than I thought it'd be. There's a wild girls section full of a ton of other amateur's content that's updated very regularly. There's also a few extras and plugins you can check out if you're into that stuff. The biggest plus comes in the form of the network you get access to, which has tons of other real amateur's sites included with your membership.
Like other sites that are quite large, I feel the size both adds to, and detracts from, everything. It's great to have so much content that I'm sure I didn't even see 5% of it. Along with the size though comes problems. A lot of links went to the wrong place, and it was difficult to get the feeling that I'd seen the sets I wanted to see. I always had this nagging feeling that I was missing something somewhere that was important to me. Still, she offers TONS of hardcore content of all types, and you apparently have a chance to meet and fuck this chick which isn't the norm. The network of sites is great, and $20 a month for this site alone is a fantastic deal (let alone with all the extras). You can't go wrong here unless you don't like Carol since the site has more than you'll ever need.
*UPDATE* - I wrote to their tech support email regarding the videos that weren't working. They updated some stuff on their end, and now they all worked for me. The video I looked at now was a little lower quality than the videos from before, but still fit in to the amateur realm. Kudos are deserved for getting that fixed on a weekend though.

Well guess what? The site has grown since we were last here! But why wouldn't it? Overall much is the same from what I see. It's nice to see her still updating after all this time has gone by, but with the navigation issues pointing to so much content, it can be hard to find that new stuff at times. I still like the network she offers a lot for the amateur lover, and she leads the way quite nicely with a massive amount of hardcore content. There's not much more to say here, as if you're into the amateur scene you have to have seen this one already (and if not, do yourself a favor and go look dammit!).
Score increased from 79.9 to 80.0.
