Man, when I first heard the title Captive Culture, I was thinking of some ugly black site with purple and white accent colors typical of BDSM type sites. Instead when I hit the tour, it looked much, much better than I was expecting which was a pleasant surprise. The site is very simple overall, but it has a classy feel to it. It's mostly white, with silver and black text in simple graphics.
The joining process looks a bit confusing, as they have three levels of membership. If you buy one month for $25, you get access to 5,660 images and 637 movies (though I'm not 100% sure that graphic is up-to-date). They say this offers the "best of" archives, image galleries, and single movies. If you want to join a gold membership for two months at $45 total, you get 19,035 images and 637 movies (which gives access to the full archives of complete galleries, "best of" archives, image galleries, and single movies). Finally, there's the platinum package at $65 for three months. This gives you 19,260 images and 1,360 movies in the categories full-length movies, behind-the-scenes, making-of, full archives of complete image galleries, best-of, image galleries, and single movies. Man, confused? :)
We're taking a look at their full site I assume, just to give you an idea. It's very easy to get around, and I headed to the galleries section first. They're laid out a little weird with a big blank space in the middle, but it's not too hard to figure out. Each shoot gives you a thumbnail only, until you click through when they explain what's going on in the shoot every few photos. Don't miss the links at the top to navigate the galleries, they have more than 15 pics each for sure! The photo quality is pretty good, and you get lots of tied up action as expected. They're a good size, around 1000x700 from what I saw, and usually well-lit and planned out. I don't like the switch in design on the gallery pages, but what can you do? The complete archives (gold and higher memberships) basically adds more galleries that are very similar.
I hit the "single movies" link next, and there's quite a bit to see here! It does look like they break up each scene into multiple movies, though, which makes the content counts look higher. Unfortunately they come in zip files first, which means you have to fully download them and extract the file before viewing it. Once that's done, you'll see Real Videos of all things at a little over 320x240 and 235kbps. Quality is actually okay when there isn't much movement, but once there is it degrades pretty quickly. The full-length movies are the same deal all around too. They're even broken up into clips without a full-scene option which is weird.
For extras, there's a forum and chat room available, as well as info on the models here. The site overall was pretty decent, with the pictures doing a little better for me than the videos did. Which membership level to join is up to you depending how much content you want to see, since each one adds a good amount more to see. I'd probably opt for the middle one, since the videos weren't too impressive. I'm not sure if you can upgrade part way through or what, but you may have to choose up front how long you want to be here. There's a few small things I'd change, but better than I was expecting for sure!

I don't know much, but I assume a lot of porn site memberships are an impulse buy. Why they offer so many dang pricing options is beyond me, but maybe it works for them. What I do know is that their better membership levels now offer a bit higher quality content, but they also mention that their bandwidth costs may be too high with this quality and that they'll be rotating content off. It's a tough pill to swallow since we have video sites with thousands of full DVDs (at full DVD-quality) for just $15 a month that seem to survive just fine. Either way, much is the same otherwise around here, with the expected growth going on just as you'd, well, expect.
