Cams at Home looks like a pretty basic cam site right off the bat, even a little simpler than most. The site is a bit cheesy-looking to me, and there's a lot of blinking going on the page which is pretty distracting. However once you dig a little deeper, they actually give a little more than most as far as info and all. I still think a redesign is in order though! Prices vary from girl to girl, but can get quite expensive. They have a free chat if you have a membership, a nude chat for $2 a minute or less usually (if the girl has chosen to set her room up this way), and a private chat that's $3-$5 a minute or so.
The goods:
- More features than most other sites. When you get to a chat page, there's all sorts of buttons and links to check out. You can talk to the girls, control the cam, tip the girls, change girls, and more. You can switch your nickname, and change the color of your text too. Like I said, there are just a lot of choices.
- Lots of girls online at once. It's not as huge as some sites, but larger than most I'd say. I had about 80 girls online right now which seemed pretty good to me.
- Site is unique at least. They tried a little bit to get some unique features here, which is a lot more than most sites try to do. Thankfully it was nice to see something a little different than the norm, even if it wasn't perfect.
The bads:
- Lots of loading time needed. Every single page seemed to have to load first, which wasn't bad in the beginning, but got a little old as you move around the site. It just adds precious time here and there.
- Quality is just average. It seemed to detect your connection speed and give you the best possible video, but it's only on par with other sites at best. I've seen better cam quality on other sites before, so don't come here expecting anything exciting in the quality area.
- A bit confusing to get around. There are just so many buttons and links you can hit that it's almost too overwhelming at first. Add in everything that blinks here and it's just a bit crazy for me.
- Private show price is a little high. Some of these girls getting into the $5/minute range is definitely on the high side, even for private cams. Other sites get them down to $2 a minute or less, which is much better. You can find cheaper nude chats here, but they're hard to find, and the girl seems to have to set this up herself (plus you'll be sharing a room with other guys).
Conclusion:
In the end, it's a normal cam site here with a decent number of girls up, and slightly high prices. The little extras they try to throw in are nice, but don't make a huge difference to the end game. It's a little more confusing than I'd like it to be, but if you use these extras then it may be worth it. Not a bad try, but I don't think it's my favorite either.
