Camcorder XXX seems to be all about the homemade porn videos, obviously supposedly shot with a camcorder compared to a full-production porn shoot. The amateur scene was a huge niche a few years ago, and I'm sure there are still quite a few fans out there who wouldn't mind seeing some exclusive content like this. I'm not quite sure how or where they get their material, but I do know they'll charge you through the nose to be able to see this stuff. $30 a month is quite expensive, but you do also get access to a few other similar sites.
The goods:
- Very large site. They've got over 275 video clips split up between their new archive and the old archive. That's just a lot of porn for one site! That definitely helps make up for their higher price a bit.
- All exclusive content. I'm going on the assumption that this is all exclusive material, though I'm not sure how they get it filmed exactly. I can't imagine people submit this stuff to them since all of the video specs are basically identical. Perhaps they hand out camcorders on the street in exchange for the honeymoon vids? :)
- Updates come regularly. They add a new scene once a week it looks like, which isn't awesome but it's not awful either. They do come regularly, and once you figure out they date their actual video pages, you'll see the weekly schedule.
The bads:
- Site itself is pretty plain. There are no real browse features or anything, and the design isn't anything special either. At least it's not too hard to get around or anything I guess, but it could use some definite improvement.
- Quality could be better. I'm not talking about the poor lighting or plain camera angles, but more along the lines of the actual video specs. There's some graininess in all their videos that I think is from the encoding that could be cleaned up a bit with higher bitrates.
- A bit expensive. $30 is a lot for most any site out there, so you'll always hear me complaining about it when that's what they charge. Thankfully you get a lot of content and regular updates, but the price is still higher than I'd like to see.
Conclusion:
They definitely deliver on the niche, and with so much content it's a decent value despite the high price. The two big things I'd love to see changed would be to lower the price, and to bump the quality up a little. Other than that, the problems are pretty minor here and they offer you quite a bit.
