Buzz West is a site all about straight military men, who apparently have a lot of pent up sexual desire that's just waiting to come screaming out. What it basically amounts to is some guys, sometimes in fatigues, jerking off for the camera. Somehow some gay guys slip in there as well for a little extra fun too. I'm guessing the content is all exclusive here, and updates come pretty regularly. You can ignore the small list of latest updates in the tour, which shows some recent updates, and then a five month hiatus since that's incorrect. Membership costs $25 a month, which is decent considering the type of content they're offering.
The goods:
- Decent size. Compared to my first visit over a year ago, they're doing pretty well here. They have almost 175 scenes up currently, and that's growing pretty regularly. The size of the site is probably the most impressive aspect.
- Exclusive gay content. It's the backbone of the site of course (and yes, that guy may have a bone in his back(side) as well), but it deserves mentioning of course. It seems at least most of their content is exclusive, with a small section dedicated to the men of Dirk Yates, which should be at least original content.
- Updates come regularly. Twice a week they add a new scene it seems, which I'm sure has helped their counts get where they are today.
The bads:
- Picture quality could use work. At first, the pictures are quite small; thankfully you can alter the size pretty easily, and the largest are much better-looking. However, many of them have an older look to them for me, with a blue or green tint to them at times.
- Some video download problems. They only allow one file download at a time, so that rules out download accelerators of course. Plus, they require you to download it fully before watching, unless you hit their streaming link of course. But I had some very slow downloads, followed by decent ones, and many just stopped downloading altogether about halfway through. I never have problems like this, so I'm not sure what's causing it.
- Could use some categorization (or search). They have a little navigation section called genres, but it didn't list any categories like I thought it would. They have quite a few nice little touches to aid in navigation or download, so I'm surprised there's not more options in how to browse the site.
Conclusion:
The overall look at Buzz West is good I'd say. They have a good-sized site, regular updates, mostly exclusive content, and it's all gay-related of course. The things that were holding them back were small, but definitely got in the way. The video problems bothered me the most, as it was really hard to get a full video downloaded. Hopefully it's a temporary problem, but who knows. The navigation bit could be improved a little as well, but at least you can get by without it. Overall, I like what I see, as long as these glitches are just that.
