Buzz West is a guy who got his start working in the porn biz working with Dirk Yates. Personally I'm not familiar with Dirk but there is a bio of Buzz online that explains a bit about both of them. Some of you that are more informed about gay porn producers may know more about their status as producers. This site of Buzz's has his own collection of shoots with a specialty on the military guy angle.
The Goods:
- Exclusive Hardcore & Solo Guy Shoots. Buzz shoots his own stuff and has built up a sizeable amount of material. It's a mix of solo guy stripping/masturbation along with guy/guy hardcore. Scrolling through I also saw some threesomes too. There are a number of gay sites with similar action so the military niche is a good specialty to have.
- Balanced Amount of Pics & Vids. The basic organization here accounts for this as there aren't separate picture and video sections. Instead it's set up by model shoots each of which contains both a video and accompanying picture set. Basically the videos are the focus and the pictures add balance to the site.
- All Shoots Have Dates & Summaries. While there aren’t movie details like length or file size the shoot summaries and date information is helpful. The dates show regular additions that average 2 to 3 per week which is in the ballpark for what I look for from a site with original content.
The Bads:
- Older Vids are Lower Quality. Going back to the oldest shoots I found the movies had fewer quality options. They only have the medium 512k level and not the highest quality or lower quality as options. The pictures on these sets are also more screen capture like and of lower quality than more recent shoots.
- Limited Navigation Options. With the mix of content and amount of episodes they could use some more sorting options. Specifically they don't allow for filtering down to find different types of guys or just hardcore or soft-core action. The only options are chronologically, alphabetical, and popularity.
Conclusion:
Buzz West has built up a respectable collection of all original shoots that includes a nice mix of solo guy shoots and hardcore banging. The guest tour has a models page which allows guests to view the guys that Buzz shoots. The $24.95/mo price is right in line with what's to be expected for what Buzz has to offer.
