Okay, I honestly have no idea what a Buk Buddy might be, but hopefully I'll find out today when checking out the site Buk Buddies. I know what a fuck buddy is, though I've never been fortunate enough to have one myself (have I?, maybe I forgot). Checking out the homepage here, the site looks very simple. There's basically two opening/warning pages to get through, and even the main page isn't too exciting with mostly a text-based site (not a single title graphic or anything even). This site shows straight amateur males, apparently for the lady's pleasure. So even if you're gay and enjoy looking at men, they're saying these men aren't interested in you. I have no idea how they've verified this though.
It's $39 to get in for a month, which is way higher than I was expecting based solely on the look and feel of the site. It recurs at $20 after that, but that first month kills you. Once you login, the site looks much the same. The main member's page is also the content list, with about 104 men listed in eight long rows of 13 dudes each (which makes the page very wide). From there, the site gets a bit confusing. You click on a guy that catches your eye (and fly in the sky, with your face in a pie... oh please don't cry!), and you get a list of his galleries but it's not too simple. There can be links to buy a DVD there as well, and links to join some video site of theirs I guess. Clicking on what looks like one of the galleries takes you to a separate page with more galleries, some of which have nothing to do with the original dude. You can finally get to some photos pretty easily, but I have no idea what photos these are exactly.
The actual galleries aren't laid out in a simple fashion either, with various shapes being made with the thumbnails. Images are supposed to be "magazine quality," and while they look decent, I wouldn't put them that high up. They come in around 840x640, which is a little smaller than I'd hoped for with higher-quality pictures. The one similarity I saw with magazine-type pictures was a lot of outdoor shooting with natural light, which makes for some interesting pictures. The actual quality is good, but it has too much of an amateur feel rather than the glossy feel magazines have for me. They definitely aren't amateur though, either, rather somewhere in between.
I did find some videos here, though it's very hit or miss because of the confusing navigation. They come in Windows Media Video format at a whopping 640x480 and 2,060kbps which was quite unexpected. They look pretty nice, but they're so scarce I won't get into them much. If you find one for a favorite dude of yours, consider yourself lucky :) The best way I found was to hit the updates page, where some have an icon for video (though sometimes it seems like they're up-selling you to a different site for those - very confusing).
Overall, the content here is good enough. The price is pretty bad initially, and the site itself is really lacking overall. It doesn't look that good, and actually finding the content you want proves most difficult as well. Updates come once a week, which is okay (at least they're updating). I wouldn't mind seeing a strong site step up in this niche and do things well, but we need a new vehicle for the content on this one. That, and a lower price for the first month.

It's been quite a long time since we last looked at BukBuddies, so I was curious to see how things were going here. First off, there's a ton more content thanks to the regular updates of course. They now have over 700 videos up, and a lot more photos as well of course. Updates are still coming consistently, too, so expect the numbers to continue to rise. The quality could use a definite boost here, and the navigation could still be better as well. Another great bit of news is that ultra-high entry fee is gone, and you can now join for $25 for the first month, and then $21 a month after that if you stick around. I'm glad to see the growth and updates here, but I'd love to see a redesign and a boost in quality now to keep up with the times.
