The title of British Babes Uncovered really leaves no mystery as to what they're all about. This is indeed a site featuring British models in mostly softcore action. After exploring the guest tour and the member's area I think the tour does an excellent job of showcasing what models and type of shoots are found here. The "Meet The Babes" page is identical to the one in the member's area and the handful of movie trailers are a big help for guests too. Basically what you see is what you get which is a good thing for an adult paysite.
The Goods:
- Nice Collection of British Model Pics/Vids. The content is pretty well balance with a decent amount of both picture galleries and videos. Softcore solo stripping/posing type shoots dominate the collection although there are two girl shoots and an Adult Section dedicated to hardcore. The British angle comes across best in the videos of course and in fact they use an "L" notation on the movies where the sound includes the girl talking. Some of the movies don't have talking and instead use background music.
- High-Res Pics & Some High Quality Vids. The picture quality seems to be steadier than that of the videos and the pics are high-resolution by TBP content rating standards. Since softcore makes up the bulk of the material the higher quality pictures are a notable positive.
- Model Index & Video Size/Length Info. The navigation includes a "Meet The Babes" page which has preview pics only and links through to each model. A more detailed Model Index has names and content breakdown in text. There is more detail provided for the videos than the picture galleries with movie length in minutes, file size, format, and notations for type shoot (like Glamour, Nude, Girl/Girl, etc).
The Bads:
- Many Galleries Only in Zip Files. This is one thing that hit me right away when I began to explore the pictures and it dogged me during my whole visit. For some reason the majority of picture galleries are only in zip files. There are some that are posted as online galleries but not enough. Zip files are usually offered as a downloading convenience on paysites but rarely are they the main viewing option. It's frustrating not being able to browse through so many of the galleries right on the site.
- Video Formats & Quality Varies. They seem to have settled in on a standard WMV format for the movies now. However going back in the collection I see MPEGs and AVI too. Just like the formats the quality ranges from average to very high depending on the movie. The length of the shoots varies from usually 2-5 minutes so they are pretty short clips.
- Pretty Sparse Update Specifics. The site touts weekly updates and the member's home page does highlight the most recent additions. What's missing are the specific dates on the log and detailed info isn't posted on galleries or videos throughout the site either.
Conclusion:
British Babes Uncovered isn't a large site so the value comes more from the British theme and sexy models. Also the high-res pictures are an important part of the foundation. Where they stubble is on some of the content delivery methods they've employed. The zip-only picture galleries and varying video formats do chip away from how easy it is to enjoy the content. If they could hammer out some of these issues they would make things more user-friendly.
