Brain Pass is one of the top networks out there and TBP has had a full review online for them for years. It's time for a full re-review so that's what I'm doing here. They're continually updating their collection with new sites and have really grown into a huge network. Brain started out with a handful of sites built around pornstars like Lex Steele and Peter North plus some individual girl sites and studios like Silverstone Entertainment. Those flagship sites are still in place plus they have more including tons of niches sites, more individual girls, and a whole host of Lex Steels sub-sites.
The Goods:
- Big Network of Pornstars, Solo Girls, Niches. Brain Pass has a wonderful collection of movies geared towards a general hardcore audience. Site themes cover many popular niches and there is a French Canadian flair to a good number of the models since the company is based in the Montreal area. What makes them somewhat unique is that they have pornstar sites like Lex Steele, Peter North, and BrunoB plus individual girl sites to go along with the niche concepts.
- Full-Movie Files & Clips, Nice Vid Quality. The video options on are solid with full movie files for the scenes. These are WMV format and clips are offered as well. There are QT files for an extra format too. Generally speaking the video quality is high although there is some variation depending on the site or age of the shoot.
- Navigate by Site, Niche, or Model Index. The navigation is well done for how much content they have. It's possible to browse the network by individual sites or they have network navigation tools that allow for browsing all the material thru niche categories. On top of that there is a model index and features like DVD Library, Featured Models, and Studio pages.
- Daily Updates with Update Archive. They update the network with a handful of new episodes per day. The member's hub page has a section showcasing the recent additions and that clicks thru to a more detailed network archive page for a historical log. Basically these guys already have a ton of stuff and they're steadily adding more.
The Bads:
- Older Videos Are More Avg Quality. These guys have content that goes back several years and not all the shoots have the higher quality video available. Also, occasionally I would run into a shoot that just had clips without the full movie files. While I like the video options overall there is definite variation throughout the collection.
- Model Index Doesn't Have Pictures. This is the one navigation tool that seems to be unfinished. The index is called "Pornstar Search" and they have the Top 70 showcased with pictures but beyond that the alphabetized list is just text. There are familiar names but also other girls that will be unknown to many surfers so thumbnail pictures would help.
- Video File Size Info isn't Posted. They do post info like model, length in minutes, and a description. It would be nice if they added the video file sizes in Mb. That info isn't supplied for any files whether it’s the full files or the clips.
Conclusion:
Simply put Brain Pass is one of the best networks around. It does have its own style and feel because they're based in Montreal and due to the nice mixing of site styles like the pornstars and individual girls. Over the years they've really expanded the number of sites and overall amount of content. It's been quite impressive to watch and I have no doubt the expansion will continue in the future.
