Intro

Boy Extra is a network of seven gay sites that members can access with one join. The themes include Latinos, twinks, Euros, Brits, international guys, and even straight boys. With a reasonable cost of membership and all exclusive scenes, I was interested in what Boy Extra had inside.

The Pros

Exclusive gay collection.

Boy Extra promises 100% exclusive gay content on their sites. They offer a nice mix of boys, including different nationalities and ethnicities. The one thing they have in common is a love of cock. They play with their own, they play with their friends', they score in group-sex scenes. There are blowjobs, there's anal, there's masturbation. It's a very well-rounded original collection.

Good-sized network.

There are currently 544 galleries and 420 videos in the collection. That's good, especially for a network with some exclusive content. There's enough here to keep members busy for quite a while.

Other Good Stuff:

Videos can be streamed as Flash clips and downloaded as full-length wmvs, mpgs, and mp4s.
Updates come often. This week alone, 4 galleries and 4 videos were added to the network. Plus, they've only got one inactive site. All the rest are currently updating, which is very impressive for a network!
Some of the scenes look really good. There are videos that are high quality and photos that are 1500x1000 in size. It was great to see some sharp material here.
There's a favorites folder where you can save all the best scenes.

The Cons

Content quality could be bumped up.

Overall I thought the content quality was fine enough but there's room for improvement. Sharper scenes would be a nice jump for them, as would a move to high definition.

Could use more browse tools.

The pictures and videos have a couple good sort tools, but that's not enough. There's no model index and the category list is somewhat limited. The keyword search helps, as does the Advanced Search, although it could still be beefed up. Overall, getting around the network wasn't hard, but there are still features that I'd like to see implemented.

Minor Negatives:

No zip downloads for photos.
There are some ads in the member's area. Not too many, but enough to be somewhat distracting.

Bottom Line

A good-size, entertaining collection of exclusive twink content.

Boy Extra is a solid network that fans of young gay men will certainly enjoy. They offer a large collection, frequent updates across nearly all of their sites, good video viewing options, and exclusive content. While the video quality could use a boost and there are other small tweaks that could be made, overall I was impressed.
