Bound N Determined is an exclusive collection of BDSM work from Lew Rubins. Usually sites that are built around one persons work are to showcase the work of a professional photographer or film producer. With Lew we're dealing with a guy whose background is in bondage with years of experience. Hi bio says he has presented bondage workshops and industry events in several different countries. The site itself is a straightforward collection of his own content including picture galleries and videos. The guest tour provides some picture samples along with a detailed write up about Lew himself. Both give accurate insight into what can be found in the member's area.
The number on thing Bound N Determined has going for it is all original content. It's my opinion that fresh material is always welcome in the BDSM and Fetish niches. The member's main page has a list of recent updates including both photo galleries and videos. The site's photo galleries are sectioned by year dating back to 2002. I'm no fetish expert but from browsing the photo galleries it's clear that Lew's forte is ropes, restraints, and suspensions. That type of stuff dominates nearly every photo shoot so Lew's collection is targeted to bondage fans and not those on the hunt for whipping, spanking, and severe torture. That's not to say this is light bdsm, it's serious and well done but just with an emphasis on restraints over anything else. Picture quality is one area where there's definite room for improvement. The picture size and quality is nothing special with varying sizes and quality within each year's shoots. My guess is Lew is more of a guy who focuses on making interesting shoots rather than content quality. It'd do his site a lot of good if he started putting out some higher res pics.
Quality and formatting is also an issue with the videos. The 2006 and some 2005 are WMV but prior to that the 2002-05 stuff is in Real Player. For a site with photo galleries dating back four years the 40 or so videos seems like a rather small collection. As with the pictures the strength of the videos is with the different bondage techniques. The performances are fun but more than with the pics the formatting/quality issues take away from the entertainment value.
Site design is fairly basic although there is some categorization in addition to the chronological gallery listing and video section. Content can be browsed by type and by model too. The price is not bad at $19.99/mo. Take a look around the tour and you can get a good idea if this stuff is what you're looking for.
