I'm not sure exactly what the word "bongum" means, but I'll go out on a limb and guess it's a German word for bdsm or a combo of words meaning bondage and rubber. Both German and English sites are available and the tour promises "intricate rope work", "strapped down and gagged", and "hardcore bondage videos". As it turns out this is an average fetish/bdsm site that does just enough to meet the tour expectations, but won't knock your socks off. It follows the basic paysite formula of pics, vids, stories, games, and leased feeds.
Some pictures galleries are highlighted as "Exclusive Sets". Those seem to make up a decent percentage of the total pics. The majority of galleries are best described as solo girls posing in latex or tied up. Some domination, lesbian fetish, and more hardcore fetish galleries are in here, although not as many as I had expected. I remember one tour page had some chick looking tied up, tortured, and clothespins on her pussy, but few of the member's pictures seemed to reach that level of nastiness. In fact, "The Bongum Girls" is a bunch of cute chicks in-and-out of sundresses and lingerie. Even though I liked 'em, I doubt they would do anything to satisfy bdsm fans. Picture quality is just average with most being clear but smaller than 600x800.
The videos are a bit more hardcore with much more pornstar and professional bondage scenes. Currently (as of 3/15/04) there are 64 total vids and judging by the formats they are a hodge-podge collection from different companies. File types include Windows Media, Real Player, and Mpeg, although each video only comes in one format. Some can be streamed or downloaded; others can only be downloaded as zips. For some reason there are even a bunch that play in-browser. Basically the formatting is messy and inconsistent. The actual quality is average with a good amount of grain in most clips.
I already mentioned the feeds, stories, and screensavers that are included. It's all standard paysite extras with none of it being overly exciting. The thing about Bongum that made me the happiest was that there was none of that Japanese bondage content that is rehashed on like 90% of those corporate bdsm sites. On the other hand, you guys who are on the prowl for hardcore nasty punishment probably won't be satisfied by Bongum's content collection. The price is pretty good at $17.95 for 1-month recurring at $15/mo. A $10 7-day trial is available too. That also recurs at $15/mo.

Bongum has done undergone some restructuring. It seems they've put their videos onto a separate url Bondage-Video.com which is accessible through Bongum's member's area (they provide a username/pwd to login). Also members get access to NylonFetishLovers.com. The number of videos has increased to 111, a solid improvement over the 64 during my initial review. On the down side it doesn't appear the quality is getting any better, even most of the newest additions are still rather grainy (with a few exceptions).
Browsing the photo galleries is still a bit confusing, the page layout makes it could be better. I do notice they've changed the old "Bongum Girls" section; they're now presented as bonus Amateur and Glamour galleries. That's a change for the better, because it didn't make any sense to have the Bongum girls be non-fetish in nature. Generally speaking, the pictures are still tamer with more latex and solo material while the videos have the more intense action like domination, ropes, spanking, etc. I'd still say Bongum is a softer BDSM site than many others, hot wax, clothespins, and spanking is about as intense as it gets (and even those are rare).

The last time I did a follow up of Bongum there was a decent amount of reorganization to report on. That's not the case this time although the newer picture galleries I browsed seem to have improved quality. They're pretty sharp pics and 795x1024 seems to be the new standard size they're using which are larger than I noted back in my initial review. Also, they're putting specific dates on the picture sets of when they were produced and put online.
The number of videos continues to grow with the total number topping 150. That's a reasonably sized collection considering they accompany a nice amount of picture galleries. I also notice the length of the videos varies greatly from 3 minutes all the way to over an hour long. It's really a varied collection with plenty in the 20-30 minute range. Overall Bongum is still a latex and softer bdsm site not for extreme fetishes although since they continue to grow the site it does deserve to have its score bumped up a bit.

Bongum has really grown into a sizable fetish site in terms of having both a nice video collection as well as many photo galleries. They now have picture galleries in the following categories: Exclusive Sets, Dominas & Domination, Imagination Chamber, and Fetish & Bondage. Also, there is an Archive section for older material that isn't updated anymore. The variety of bondage and fetish shoots throughout the site is wider than I remember. The higher quality pictures and date-stamped galleries have continued. The separate site for videos also remains in place with now 250+. This has definitely improved greatly from the time of TBP's initial look at Bongum years back. Steadily they've compiled enough videos to really provide a nice compliment to the picture galleries. As far as design and navigation goes things seem to have not changed much except for those picture categories that I noted earlier.
