With a site name like BlakeMason.com, my first assumption was that we would be looking at a solo dude gay site. That, however, is not the case. Blake and Mason are actually the last names of the two British guys who run the site, Jason and Adam respectively. They created the site to provide "100% original films featuring the best amateur british men" their country has to offer. Jason and Adam actually don't appear in front of the camera at all. Instead you'll find a collection of 32 fit young men between the ages of 18 and 30. I'd call some of the models twinks, some studs, and most your typical hot college guy. Interestingly, not all of the models are gay. There are quite a few straight guys posing solo, including my favorite, a Mr. Johnny B. Clearly this site was not at all what I was expecting.
The site currently contains 44 scenes with a new solo film added every Thursday and a duo/hardcore film every Sunday. You can view the videos chronologically or search the models by name or physical feature. Each scene has a good description and the type of content is noted at the top (solo, duo, oral, all the way, or group). Vidcaps accompany each scene, but I was disappointed not to find actual digital photos, as well. Videos can be streamed and downloaded in Windows Media in three speeds, up to 1800k. Video quality for the high res movies was very good, not DVD quality, but still very clear and enjoyable. Keep in mind that the movies are DRM protected, but the terms are a little more lenient than most as the licenses don't expire for a year after the movie was downloaded.
I thought there was a good mix of action here, with a pretty even number of solo and hardcore scenes. The solo features might have a little dialogue and then our guy will strip and stroke for the camera. The hardcore movies include oral, 69, sex, and cumshots. It's pretty straightforward stuff with the emphasis on the action.
BlakeMason is a quality original video site that I think will go far. The collection isn't huge yet but twice weekly updates will fix that in no time. The videos look good and although they are DRM protected, I think the terms are reasonable. My biggest complaint is the absence of actual photos. I think the strength of BlakeMason is its candor and personality. I look forward to checking back in with BlakeMason when the site has had more time to grow.

I enjoyed Blake Mason the first time around and thought the site had a lot of potential. In fact, they've made some nice gains since our last visit seven months ago. Thanks to frequent updates, the collection has more than doubled from 44 to 106 scenes. They've added a fourth quality setting for the videos and these "super res" movies play at a beautiful 2500k. They look really sharp and are a great addition! Best of all, you can enjoy them forever since they dropped the DRM restrictions. All around, these are some great upgrades. I'm bumping my score up a notch and look forward to even more improvements at our next visit.

Since our last visit to Blake Mason ten months ago, the number of videos has grown from 106 to 204, right on target for their consistent schedule of twice weekly updates. They now offer MP4 file options for Mac and Video iPod users, along with their wmvs in four quality settings that still look great. Vidcaps are now offered in zip files, though I'd still like to see some actual digital photos. A forum has also been added so you can interact with other members and the models. It's great that they're continuing to grow and improve so my score will, too.
Score increased from 81.7 to 84.0.
